Captain Barnes (Michael Chiklis) is called to duty to create a law-abiding task force, with the help of Gordon. Meanwhile, Penguin gets caught up in a favor for Galavan, and Nygma asks Kringle out on a date in the all new Rise of the Villains: Strike Force episode of GOTHAM airing Monday, October 12th on FOX.

I'm really mad Jerome isn't the Joker and I don't want Theo Galavan or Barbara to take his place. I would be okay with Theo Galavan being the original Azrael because we know he's coming this season.

I don't watch this show, but it's a good thing that they killed off that one guy; would have taken out important aspects of the Joker. Although, we all know that he was only on the show for more views.

K, I'm hearing some stuff in the comments that Joker will be inspired by what Jerome has done. Forget what I said about them not taking away important aspects from Joker.

Killed off too soon. Jerome was significantly better than the Red Hood character. I can't see whomever will eventually play as The Joker to perform better than this actor. I don't think the series intends to reveal the true joker.

I dont care if he was Joker Lite, he was one of 4 villains with any semblance of charisma. Now all we have is Penguin. The dumb twist at the end is even worse than Joker Lite.

No, not all of the jokers have to be the same, that's not the problem, as i said in my actual comment, i don't mind change, but this just seems to over complicate the jokers orgin for no real reason. I mean instead of it being an accident and him just going crazy, and it being simple now it involves cults and this kid being the original joker that inspired it all. It feels unnecessary to me, change for the sake of change, and i just don't like the idea. Plain and simple, if you do that's fine. But i think its dumb.

What the hell? The show itself is mediocre. Alfred and Penguin are great! Riddler is next in line for greatness. But, Jerome was pure gold. His joker...ish character really should have been Joker. It really was starting to seem like we may actually start to finally get the Joker we have known from the comics and then they kill the dude. WTF. Now what? A bunch of Jokers? Are they trying to take away his uniqueness? Ugh

his was a great episode. I loved Jerome as the Jokeresque character but face it, they're never going to give us the real Joker just like they'll never give us Batman. So Joker will never be a Jerome clone.

I love the fact that Jerome got to have the final laugh inspiring a generation of mad men. The Gotham madness has started and best of all is that even Theo Galavan in all his glory couldn't even have predicted this. Instead of getting one definitive Joker, we get a crap ton of them.

Sit back, relax cause this season is going to be murder and mayhem!

Someone read the "Endgame" story, but never read the final issues. So they thought it was a good idea to introduce this "Joker as a myth and a curse in Gotham" thing.

Jerome was a good character, had good acting, BUT it was waaaay to soon to introduce the Joker into the series, in my opinion. What's the problem in not using The Joker at all? I kinda smile when Jerome died, have to admit.
