With just under a month to go until the eagerly awaited third season premiere, it's only a matter of time before The CW debuts the first bits of footage from the upcoming season, but in the meantime, we do have five interesting new promotional stills as Liv and her friends get back to their relatively normal routines.

Four of the six main cast members are featured, including Rose McIver, Rahul Kohli, Malcolm Goodwin, and Robert Buckley. It's hard to say where David Anders and Aly Michalka are, but for Ravi's sake, let's hope they aren't off somewhere together.

Check out the stills from the season three premiere, titled "Heaven Just Got A Little Bit Smoother," below:

YOUR FAVORITE ZOM-COM-ROM-DRAM IS BACK FOR SEASON 3 — Liv (Rose McIver) has discovered there are more zombies living in Seattle than she previously believed. In fact, there’s a private military contractor employing a small zombie army, and that army is preparing for the day humans learn of their existence. Major (Robert Buckley) was exonerated for the crimes of the Chaos Killer, but is still considered a pariah. He manages to land a job with the one and only place that will hire him. Meanwhile, Blaine (David Anders) is accused of lying. Malcolm Goodwin and Rahul Kohli also star. Dan Etheridge directed the episode written by Rob Thomas (IZ301). Original airdate 4/4/2017.

iZOMBIE continues with more brainy adventures! From the executive producers of Veronica Mars, the series stars Rose McIver (Power Rangers R.P.M.) as Olivia “Liv” Moore, a medical resident on the fast track to a perfect life … until she’s turned into a zombie. But Liv finds her calling — and an endless supply of food — working at the Seattle coroner’s office, helping to solve crimes with her “visions.” As season two begins, Liv’s ex-fiancé and love, Major, is reeling from recent events and the knowledge that Liv is a zombie. Meanwhile, Blaine — now human — struggles to maintain his zombie world; Clive searches for Blaine and suspects Major’s involvement in the Meat Cute massacre; and Ravi is bent on finding the tainted Utopium. So power up with your favorite brain food and prepare for more fun and thrills!

iZombie features:
Rose McIver as Olivia "Liv" Moore
Malcolm Goodwin as Clive
Babinaux
Rahul Kohli as Dr. Ravi Chakrabarti
Robert Buckley as Major Lilywhite
David Anders as Blaine DeBeers
Aly Michalka as Peyton Charles
Andrea Savage as Vivian Stoll
Jason Dohring as Chase Graves

Best CB show. One of the best shows all around. McIver would rake in the Emmys if this was on a different network.

This and Lucifer are the best comic shows on TV right now, bar none. McIver is forced to play two different characters ever episode, and does it flawlessly.

@LordHarryLatts - It reminds me of what the actors had to do for Dollhouse.

For those who are bumfuzzled and foncused by the CW's handling of the show here is what appears to have happened.

1) The second season did not do well enough in the ratings* to merit a 22 episode order. The back order was cut to 6 sometime after E13 was filmed. The signs are that the suits thought that iZ was not holding on to as much of the Flash's audience as they thought reasonable. So they made it a 13 episode order for S3 and delayed it.

2) In the Fall they used the Flash lead-in to help bolster a new show. It bombed. The last episode aired Jan 17.

3) Instead of airing IZombies 3rd season at that point the CW decided to try Legends of Tomorrow in the slot. It is basically doing the same as iZombie. Hopefully this will establish that the 9:00 et slot is just not going to do big numbers barring a miracle.

4) Hopefully the late start for iZ won't hurt it. We'll see.

OK it's clear that they got out of Max Rager safely and aren't in jail or quarantine. Besides that there are two slightly odd things in those photo's;

1) Someone else seems to be in charge of the body other Ravi or Liv which is very off. If Ravi has a boss he or she has never been mentioned. Could be a Fed I guess.

2) The offices must be that of Fillmore-Graves but why is Clive there ?
