An Existing Arrowverse Character Will Replace Firestorm On LEGENDS OF TOMORROW

The death of Martin Stein in this year's Crisis on Earth-X crossover is arguably one of the biggest deaths in the Arrowverse itself. Although many characters have lost their lives throughout the course of the four series that make up the DC TV Arrowverse, Steins' demise is a big loss simply becase he had been an integral part of the lives of the characters of both The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow.  Jax's decision to leave the team in Legends of Tomorrow's midseason finale, is also going to hurt the Legends chances of defeating Damian Dahrk and Mallus. And so it makes sense why the Legends would be needing new blood to help them save the world. Now, a new report by Comicbook.com gives us an idea of who will be filling the void Firestorm left behind with the Legends.

According to Executive Producer Marc Guggenheim, "A previously established character from the Arrowverse" will be boarding the Waverider sometime soon. Guggeheim stated:
"We do have a plan for how to replace Firestorm on the bridge, and it's a really cool one. It's one we're really excited about. There's really like two empty chairs on the Waverider. So we do have a game plan. We've always had a game plan. I just can't talk about the game plan. The CW publicity will determine when we get to unleash that bit of news."

Although the EP didn't reveal who would be the new Legend, he did explain that Russel Trovey's schedule on ABC's Quantico prevented The Ray from joining the team. Fans may recall that the most recent Legends of Tomorrow episode ended with Constantine meeting Sara, so there's a strong chance that the Excorcist, John Constantine will be joining the DC TV series. Also likely is Kid-Flash Wally West boarding the ship. The speedster has lately not been getting the screen time he deserves on The Flash, so it would make sense that the showrunners would want Kid Flash to become a Legend. It's likely that fans will find out who becomes the new Legend when the series returns from it's hiatus. Till then we DC fans an continue to speculate on which Arrowverse will soon become a Legend.

Who do you think will be boarding the Waverider?

Wally makes sense. He's a powerhouse like Firestorm and he's also is a skilled engineer.

@Krampus -

Victor Garber wanted to do a play on Broadway and then the commuting was too far for him.

Firestorm was one of my favourite parts of not just Legends but the CW shows in general, Jax and Gray were a great pair.

As for the replacement Wally makes perfect sense. He doesn't do much on the Flash, on Legends everyone gets to do a fair bit plus his powerset adds something new but just as powerful to the team.

Just finished the Crossover episodes and absolutely loved it. Some of the Melodrama from Arrow and Flash was a gentle reminder why I stopped watching both but love Legends.

Sad to see Victor Garber and Franz Drameh leave but Stein sure had a good ending.

Understand that Garber wanted to leave to go to Broadway and because of the commuting, and Drameh seems quite positive.

It's going to be Wally I'm sure of it. It won't be Constantine because his character cannot be on a team up show, he always works alone and when he works with someone, they always die. So Wally will coming on Legends, I know it.

@OB1 - Yep. I’m still hoping his guest appearance on Legends of Tomorrow and the upcoming CW Seed animated series are them testing waters for a live action revival of Constantine. If Supernatural ends this year it’d be a perfect replacement that would draw in a lot of that audience plus have the built in fanbase of the NBC show and the Arrowverse/DC-CW shows. If Supernatural continues, pair it with it to follow at 9 or 10pm, and if need be keep it a limited series of 6-12 episodes.
