New Promotional Stills For POWERLESS Season 1 Episode 2: "Wayne Dream Team"

DC's first comedy series Powerless premiered last night and while we don't have a promo for next week's installment, we do have fourteen new promotional stills featuring Vanessa Hudgens & company.

Powerless didn't get off to the start it was likely hoping for last night, pulling in just around 3.1 million viewers for its premiere episode with 1.1 million in the lucrative 18-49 demo, although those numbers do place it above nearly every DCTV show on the CW, save for The Flash. However, since CW shows do tend to operate on a different scale, it's a little bit uncertain how NBC must be reacting to the premiere numbers at the moment.

Next week's episode should be a better indicator of how the rest of the season may play out for the Powerless team and luckily, the second episode does seem a bit more promising with Emily Locke attempting to steer her team away from their Fantasy Super Hero League.

Check out new promotional stills from episode two, titled "Wayne Dream Team," below:

"WAYNE DREAM TEAM" 02/09/2017 (08:30PM - 09:00PM) (Thursday)

EMILY TRIES TO BALANCE MAKING FRIENDS AND BEING A BOSS - With a new product idea greenlit, Emily (Vanessa Hudgens) tries to get her team inspired but can't seem to break through their obsession with Fantasy Super Hero League. Meanwhile, Van (Alan Tudyk) is on a mission to be included in the Wayne Dream Team photo. Danny Pudi, Christina Kirk and Ron Funches also star. Jennie Pierson recurs.

In a world where humanity must cope with the collateral damage of Super Heroes and Super-Villains, Emily Locke (Vanessa Hudgens) begins her first day as Director of Research & Development for Wayne Security, a subsidiary of Wayne Enterprises that specializes in products that make defenseless bystanders feel a little safer. Full of confidence and big ideas, Emily quickly learns that her expectations far exceed those of her new boss (Alan Tudyk) and officemates, so it will be up to her to lead the team toward their full potential and the realization that you don’t need superpowers to be a hero.

Powerless features:
Vanessa Hudgens as Emily Locke
Danny Pudi as Teddy
Alan Tudyk as Van Wayne
Christina Kirk as Jackie
Ron Funches as Ron

Powerless premieres February 2

I haven't seen it yet, but Vanessa Hudgens is gorgeous and Alan Tudyk is so damn likeable i'm going to have to give it a shot.

Did anybody see that piece on ComicsAlliance about Van Wayne's history in comics? Good stuff.

I watched it, mostly because I like Tudyck's roles in just about everything he's been in. Two best roles were in Firefly/Serenity and Knight's Tale. Hudgens... meh. The show was pretty good, sort of reminded me of the tick, in that Superheroes were a regular occurrence, no big thing. It could have done fine without the Wayne tie in, but that is actually working out too.

Man, that first episode was dire. I usually don't call for shows to be canceled because I'll just not watch them, so them staying on the air doesn't bother me. But this being on the air bothers me. It really is Better Off Ted with a fraction of the creativity, humor, and vision. And yet again, Batman is the world's worst detective, even off-screen.

Show felt like I was watching the Disney Channel or Nickelodeon. Hope it gets better.

Be a shame to waste that title sequence.
