STARGIRL: Starman Seeks Revenge In New Promo For Season 3, Episode 3: "The Blackmail"

It looks like Starman is going to take matters into his own dangerous hands next week when he tracks down Larry Crock and Paula Brooks to avenge his fallen Justice Society of America teammates.

Following another excellent installment of Stargirl, next week's hour will see Courtney (Brec Bassinger) and her team continue their murder investigation, which gets an unexpected boost when they receive an anonymous tip that could prove to be the assist they needed.

Meanwhile, Sylvester Pemberton (Joel McHale) takes Courtney's advice and tries to find out who he is without his Starman identity. However, things quickly take a turn when he seemingly decides to take out his anger on Larry Crock (Neil Hopkins) and Paula Brooks (Joy Osmanski), in what looks to be a show-stopping fight sequence.

It's hard to tell whether that fight is real or a potential dream sequence, but either way, an out-of-control Starman is not good news for anyone involved.

Check out the new promo for episode three, titled "Frenemies - Chapter Three: The Blackmail," below:

Brec Bassinger headlines the series as Courtney Whitmore/Stargirl, with a supporting main cast featuring Yvette Monreal as Yolanda Montez/Wildcat, Anjelika Washington as Beth Chapel/Dr. Mid-Nite, Cameron Gellman as Rick Tyler/Hourman, Trae Romano as Mike Dugan, Hunter Sansone as Cameron Mahkent, Neil Hopkins as Larry Crock, Joy Osmanski as Paula Brooks, Amy Smart as Barbara Whitmore, Meg DeLacy as Cindy Burman/Shiv, Luke Wilson as Pat Dugan/S.T.R.I.P.E., and Joel McHale as Sylvester Pemberton/Starman.

Keith David voices this season's big bad Mister Bones, while Jonathan Cake (Richard Swift/The Shade), Ysa Penarejo (Jennie-Lynn Hayden), Stella Smith (Artemis Crock), Alkoya Brunson (Jakeem Williams), Tim Gabriel (Todd Rice/Obsidian), and Seth Green (Thunderbolt) are set to appear this season in recurring roles.

"Frenemies - Chapter Three: The Blackmail" - (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) (TV-PG, LV) (HDTV)

FINDING BALANCE - Courtney (Brec Bassinger) and the JSA receive an anonymous tip that could help in their murder investigation. Meanwhile, after being told to find balance, Sylvester (Joel McHale) looks into potential jobs in Blue Valley, while also trying to figure out who he is without his Starman identity. Walter Carlos Garcia directed the episode written by Taylor Streitz (#303). Original airdate 9/14/2022.

Every episode of DC'S STARGIRL will be available to stream on The CW App and CWTV.com the day after broadcast for free and without a subscription, log-in or authentication required.

Joel is my top pick for a live action Johnny Cage.
Physically he’s got it (moreso than in his younger days).
And he crushed the role in the animated movies.

I see Starman and I think of John Carptenters fantastic movie from the 80's.

Season 3? WTF?!?

I didn't even know S2 was out and done...goddamn.

S1 of this and the animated Harley Quinn show were the two biggest 'Holy [frick]ing [frick], this is SO MUCH BETTER THAN IT HAS A RIGHT TO BE' shows in recent memory for me.

It is underrated but what I really like is the bright colors. I think it's perfectly cast. Well acted and the additional of McHale as Silvester Pemberton is great casting. Luke Wilson is pretty good. It's probably the best show on the CW.
