STARGIRL Wants To Come Clean In The New Promo For Season 3, Episode 9; "The Monsters"

That was the best episode yet at least in terms of character development for Pat and Shade during their stay in the Shadowlands.

Shade's character was more fleshed out regarding the regrets he feels and tries hard to not show not just in terms of avoiding his sister's last days on her deathbed but also about not believing in the Gambler's redemption. The shadow man is human after all.

Pat's advice about the only way to get out from there was facing their darkness and fears rather than run from them was accurate but given how the episode wrapped with Shade, after being prompted, offering to teach Todd how to control his powers plus sticking close with him and Jennie makes me think that if we could follow their story into New York we'd see more of his growth.

Besides Pat was right: he did play a role in the demise of the previous JSA and seeking redemption is about not stop doing bad but start doing good.

As for Pat he's got a lot to make up with Mike after what the Shadowlands unveiled from him. His old man was too harsh on him, a lot of the hurtful things he said can be seen how it took a toll on him and how he unknowingly has done a bit of the same to Mike and all so subconsciously. It's why these episodes end up being some of the best for how they show the vulnerabilities of everyone.

It could be said that these two parter episodes were backdoor pilots for a show focused on Jennie and Todd who were Infinitors in Infinity Inc and as a fan of spin-offs I'd be down to see an Infinity Inc. show.

I wanna see Sandy Hawkins in Season 4, the reasons for why this show deserves to get more Seasons just keep piling up. Turns out that Sylvester mentioning Wesley Dodds in 3x02 wasn't just random Easter eggs.





Hmm, it says there that "Sandy was transformed into a silicon monster when one of Wesley Dodds's experiments went horribly wrong". What a twist it would be if that's the thing that growls in the scene of the crime where the Gambler died and wrecked his trailer. It would bring back Jennie and Todd back for later though...fun new theory I've come up with.



Courtney's scenes with Mr. Bones were great and again drive home the point one of the main themes of Season 3 about how important it is the right emotional state in order to achieve the right balance. That's what Jennie and Todd to exorcise the darkness out of her ring and for him to control his own. She learned it from Sylvester , then taught it to Cameron and it worked again here.

She left much of an impact in Bones to start considering to change his approach of how to help the Helix patients, slowly setting up the Helix team.



Not even life of powered people as hard as it can be deserves to live in isolation since that isn't the point of living. And while Keith David's face is CGI into an skeleton one could tell in his body language that Bones was wondering what if he had a different more open life and not one of hiding.

Mr. Bones designs slap so hard with that said.







And none of them were the ones watching them in Blue Valley, it's someone else that is wearing a hood that looks taken from Kingdom Hearts' Organization XIII, haha. Already got my theories.

Next week looks like the best episode yet: finally that Rick vs Cameron fight but Jesus the JSA raiding his home and fighting his grandparents? Yolanda girl, what are you even doing there? Not the best way to make up with Court by ambushing her boyfriend's place.

Never thought I'd be going into this long-awaited battle actually cheering for Cameron because Rick has let the unlimited hourglass go over his head and is coming close there to harming Courtney.
