Both KSiteTV and Comicbook.com are reporting that actor Faran Tahir has joined the cast of Supergirl as a mysterious character known only as The Commander. The only other hint we have about his true identity is the description that comes with the report: Apparently he'll be "an alien military expert leading the forces aligned against Supergirl." Now, that's being reported as a military expert that also happens to be an alien, but we're not so sure. Along with Tahir's appearance, this is bound to open up a lot of speculation as to whether he's really playing one of several established DC characters -- if alien, could he be Martian Manhunter? If human, he certainly looks like Lex Luthor. What do you guys think?
