SUPERGIRL is an action-adventure drama based on the DC Comics character Kara Zor-El (Melissa Benoist), Superman’s (Kal-El) cousin who, after 12 years of keeping her powers a secret on Earth, decides to finally embrace her superhuman abilities and be the hero she was always meant to be. Twelve-year-old Kara escaped the doomed planet Krypton with her parents’ help at the same time as the infant Kal-El. Protected and raised on Earth by her foster family, the Danvers, Kara grew up in the shadow of her foster sister, Alex (Chyler Leigh), and learned to conceal the phenomenal powers she shares with her famous cousin in order to keep her identity a secret.

Years later at 24, Kara lives in National City assisting media mogul and fierce taskmaster Cat Grant (Golden Globe Award winner Calista Flockhart), who just hired the Daily Planet’s former photographer, James Olsen (Mehcad Brooks), as her new art director. However, Kara’s days of keeping her talents a secret are over when Hank Henshaw (David Harewood), head of a super-secret agency where her sister also works, enlists her to help them protect the citizens of National City from sinister threats. Though Kara will need to find a way to manage her newfound empowerment with her very human relationships, her heart soars as she takes to the skies as Supergirl to fight crime.

@JoshWilding - You know absolutely nothing about how much and how often Constantine was promoted by NBC.

FACT - Constantine was ALSO promoted on ET

FACT - Constantine was promoted during NBC's BIGGEST show The Voice (many many many times)

FACT - Constantine CONSTANTly (see what I did?) had commercials running on NBC. It's not NBC's fault the show got cancelled. Find a new excuse.

Constantine's premiere wasn't until late October and went up against the World Series. Shows usually start the season late August. Also the show aired on Fridays at 10 PM. The dead zone.

NBC never had full confidence in Constantine.

Has anyone else heard the rumor about Scott Eastwood?

I really hope that Scott Eastwood rumor is true. I think it would be a HUGE mistake to kill that caracther in the DCCU.

☝ Yes, inquiring minds would like to know...

The rumor is that Dick Grayson is a spy under the employ of Amanda Waller, and that there's no Nightwing in the DCEU.
DC is moving forward with Grayson in all media with the hope of building Dick Grayson up as the James Bond of the movie universe.

@mistral1

In the comics there's actually a gravestone dedicated to Richard Grayson, who faked his death after Forever Evil and became an agent for Spyral.

So if the rumors are true, that's where the movies are headed. Also it's been said that Eastwood has signed with WB for two more movies.

They can promote it all they want. It won't stop it from looking like a Lois and Clark spinoff that time traveled 20 years from 1995.

Yeah, no. This has as much chance of being cancelled as Frozen 2.

The Frozen crowd will defend this show to the death.
