SUPERGIRL: Carlos Bernard & Carl Lumbly Guest Star In New Photos From Season 3, Episode 3: "Far From The Tree"
It looks like Carl Lumbly, the longtime voice of the Martian Manhunter, will be making a live-action appearance next week as the father of David Harewood's J'onn J'onzz. Check out 21 new photos now!
Well, here's a pleasant surprise as new photos from next week's episode of Supergirl have revealed that Carl Lumbly, the longtime voice of the animated Martian Manhunter, will be guest starring as the long-lost father of J'onn J'onzz (David Harewood).
The photos also feature a first look at former 24 star Carlos Bernard making his debut as Maggie Sawyer's (Floriana Lima) estranged father. We're also treated to new photos of M'gann (Sharon Leal) and Eliza Danvers (Helen Slater) making their season debuts as well as plenty of new shots of the Girl of Steel on Mars.

CARLOS BERNARD ("24") GUEST STARS; HELEN SLATER RETURNS - Eliza (guest star Helen Slater) throws Alex (Chyler Leigh) and Maggie (guest star Floriana Lima) a wedding shower, which causes Maggie to reach out to her estranged father (guest star Carlos Bernard). As Superman’s cousin, Kara Danvers (aka Supergirl) balances her work as a reporter for CatCo Worldwide Media with her work for the Department of Extra-Normal Operations (DEO), a super-secret government organization whose mission is to keep National City – and the Earth – safe from sinister threats. At the DEO, Kara works for J’onn J’onzz, the Martian Manhunter, and alongside her sister, Alex, and best friend, Winn Schott. Also in Kara’s life are James Olsen, a photo journalist who moonlights as Guardian, a masked vigilante, Lena Luthor, and Mon-El of Daxam, whose planet was ravaged by Krypton’s destruction. In season three, Kara and team will come up against a new threat in the form of DC Worldkiller, Reign.
