Before she can get to work on stopping the universe-ending Crisis that's inching closer and closer by the day, Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) is going to have her hands full in the December 1st midseason finale as she seemingly comes to the realization that she must stop Lena Luthor (Katie McGrath) before she does the unthinkable.

However, that's not her only problem as the episode will also find The Girl of Steel face-to-face with the increasingly dangerous Rama Khan (Mitch Pileggi) and Leviathan. Meanwhile, Lena (Katie McGrath) and Hope (Andrea Brooks) work to launch Project Non Nocere, and the former quickly realizes that Hope may be the most important asset in her inventory.

Man, Mike Wheeler's mom has been busy! Lol

This was a bit of a hodgepodge episode, and there were a lot of storylines going on at once. Overall it was an alright episode. Some aspects were interesting, others were nauseating. The Alex-Kelly relationship is garbage and a major momentum killer. Was actually hoping that Kelly was going to leave after this episode.

Leviathan was perhaps the strongest aspect of the episode. Definitely want to learn more about that and I thought Rama Khan was a cool debut.

Was also very interested in what was going on with Brainy, seems like we may be returning to the evil Brainy teased in season 4 now that has inhibitor is damaged. Really hope this happens!

The Kara-Lena stuff... I thought the confrontation scene was pretty good, McGrath did a pretty decent job conveying hurt. But now I feel like Lena has become nonredeemable.

And finally, the stuff with J'onn, his father and Malefic was good too. But wait, what happened between J'onn and Malefic? Why did Malefic change that quickly in his feelings toward J'onn? I understand he saw his memories but that was a really abrupt shift.

Good episode with good developments on the plot and performances even if I didn't care about Lena's over glorified pain rant.

So Leviathan was founded on Earth by the elders of another sister planet of Krypton, much like Daxam, called Jarhanpur and currently there are around 5 leaders but Rama Khan has been calling the shots. Only them could put some fear into the heart of that elder woman that has been pretty much their eyes and ears above.

They have a fancy life too in their HQ, got a bar and Rama Khan was busy in a game of poker with other 3 characters, they will surely become relevant in the next half of the Season as the rest of the leaders.

The medallion must still be pretty important to them even if Andrea, missing this week, still holds the powers from it. And it is Gamemnae the one with the tech agenda while Rama Khan is old school about how keeping things in order. She would like to get her hands on Lena’s project. Wonder if she has only portal themed powers.

That injury Brainy sustained on his forehead disc could be the reason why his sister later will arrive unless it does not get fixed asap.

J'onn's scenes with M'yrrn and Malefic were excellent. If Malefic has turned a new leaf for good then he might have a clue of how to help stop Non Nocere.

Kelly should take her own Q waves session to heal.

I might take Lena more seriously if she did not start saying things like how Kara cried “crocodile tears” and that she made her do those things. She is tripping too much. She is in store for a serious reckoning. And Kara must remember her words to J'onn from before and apply them: Lena made her own decisions and she can not blame herself for them.

One of these days, someone will actually use the terms "betrayal" and "You've been lying to me!!!!!!" accurately. Did Lena ask Kara if she was Supergirl and she said no? I don't remember so, which means she never lied. And betrayal is what Lena did to Supergirl in the episode, whereas Supergirl was always trying to have Lena's back. And this happens ALL the time in every superhero TV show and movie where someone important finds out. Not divulging personal details about oneself is not the same as lying, especially if the person doesn't really have a right to know.
