After a very special 100th episode, Supergirl gets back to business on March 8th with an episode that will see Lex Luthor (Jon Cryer) task Kara (Melissa Benoist) with a mission to protect Andrea Rojas (Julie Gonzalo) from an anti-tech extremist, but it seems like there may be more to this mission than meets the eye.

Elsewhere, Lena (Katie McGrath) continues to work with Lex and makes more progress toward turning Non Nocere into a reality.

"The Bodyguard" - (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET) (TV-PG, V) (HDTV)

LENA MOVES FORWARD WITH NON NOCERE - Lex (guest star Jon Cryer) tasks Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) with protecting Andrea (Julie Gonzalo) from an anti-tech extremist, but his nefarious purpose goes beyond merely keeping Andrea alive. Meanwhile, Lena (Katie McGrath) moves forward with Non Nocere, with Lex's help. Gregory Smith directed the episode with story by Lindsay Sturman and teleplay by Emilio Ortega Aldrich & Chandler Smidt (#514). Original airdate 3/8/2020.

Looks like not only is Non Nocere going forward but also Andrea's Obsidian Platinum going by the pics featuring Brainy trying to help or something.

I hope this episode Leviathan begins to make their presence more felt like they did it in the final episodes of last year, especially as the news of today that S5 is only going to be 20th episodes. Meaning we have 7 episodes to wrap it all up: Non Nocere and Lena, Lex, Brainy's double agent arc, Leviathan's goal and Andrea's Obsidian and Acrata arc etc.

Unless Leviathan's endgame is revealed in the Season's finale and it actually carries into Season 6. That would be interesting and a nice "to be continued" because we've still got to see who is their leader ("The Elder/The Anointed One") and the others like Rama Khan, Gamemnae or that other member that was teased in 5x08 (Tezumak) are still nowhere to be defeated.

I like the character okay, and I like the actor a lot more, and I obviously have no problem with the cultural politics of it, but am I the only person who has been finding Alex's romantic relationships to be really awkward and uncomfortable?

My gaydar isn't perfect, but watching this very clearly straight woman pretending to be gay just skeeves me out a bit. It's like PG-rated lesbian porn. I can tell they aren't really into each other, and they're only doing it for the camera.

@TheJustinHammer - But that's the problem, isn't it? No actor will ever be as convincing as someone telling the truth.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt can be in a terribly written movie about rival spies who get married, but the chemistry between them is electric because they really wanted to [frick] each other's brains out.

To really sell romance, there has to be some spark there.
