Just few days ago, fans were treated to an exciting minute-long teaser for Swamp Thing, and now with the series set to premiere in a matter of days, the DC Universe has released a brand-new trailer for their latest live-action show.

While some of the footage in the trailer has been revealed elsewhere, the latest preview does feature plenty of new horrifying footage that also sheds some more light on the overall plot of the series.

For starters, we get a better look at the mysterious disease that draws Abby Arcane (Crystal Reed) back to her hometown, and the tragic incident that causes Alec Holland (Andy Bean) to become the titular monster.

Swamp Thing is the third live-action series from the DC Universe and is set to premiere Friday, May 31.

"Swamp Thing” centers on CDC researcher Abby Arcane (Reed). When she returns to her childhood home of Houma, Louisiana, in order to investigate a deadly swamp-borne virus, she develops a surprising bond with scientist Alec Holland — only to have him tragically taken from her. But as powerful forces descend on Houma, intent on exploiting the swamp’s mysterious properties for their own purposes, Abby will discover that the swamp holds mystical secrets, both horrifying and wondrous — and the potential love of her life may not be dead after all.

Looks good. Other than some issues with Titans, I have really enjoyed these DCU shows so far. Excited to check this one out.

@L0RDbuckethead - What's up LBH? How's the streaming service? You've been pleased thus far? Can you tell me more about it? Also, what's included with a trial of it? Thanks

@musicsuperhero1 -

There is a trial and I agree with LBH. The original shows are great, even if Titans for me was "okay" it wasn't horrible by any means. Doom Patrol is magnificent and Young Justice is good too.

There is a free trial available and now would be a good time to get in on it to check out the original content since there's more than just Titans up now.

You can also find the full episode one of Doom Patrol on Youtube.

@Humperdink - That's a huge help! Yeah, I figured there was a free trial, and I did some research on it. I was asking folks here too as part of my research because sometimes the free trials are crap and you can only view a couple things. So I was wondering, in general, what all was on the streaming service (old DC live-action shows, the animated stuff, animated features? etc.), and if the free trial was worth it. Your comment was very helpful, thanks.

@musicsuperhero1 - I'll just echo @Humperdink. He pretty much said it all.

Right, I see. I started off with the trial and moved onto the subscription but there were no limits to the content I could view and yes it has all the things you mentioned old and new.

I may have been hesitant to recommend the trial at the early stages of this service because (if you're like me) you could have already seen a lot of the older stuff and the only new content was Titans which was coming out weekly but now that time has passed I'd say check out the trial. You have three original shows with maxed seasonal content, although Young Justice's second half will arrive shortly there's plenty new episodes up now.

There were also some animated movies that were there that I'd never bothered to watch. I just saw that 'Death of Superman' two-part animated movie and it was pretty damn awesome.

Definitely not Chocolate Flavor with this property.

Maybe mint chocolate chip?

That looks really flippin good. DC has had a pretty good record with TV shows. I just wish DC Nation was available on PS4.

@PeenWeinersteen - You mean DC Universe? It's on X-box One. I'm sure it'll make it to PS4 in time.

@Battabing - That suit looks bitchin'

Cinematography looks surprisingly great. Each one of these DCU shows looks exponentially more expensive than the last, which makes me all the more disappointed in the $5 cosplay fan film they released for the Teen Titans.
Battabing
Battabing - 5/28/2019, 12:08 PM
@tmp3 - The only people in costume were Robin, Hawk, and Dove, and I think their costumes looked pretty good.
tmp3
tmp3 - 5/28/2019, 12:10 PM
@Battabing - Robin looked like he was wearing PJ's and Hawk/Dove looked like cosplayers. Comparing them to the Swamp Man suit is unfair, since the latter looks so much better.

@KingCipher - I'm legit only interested in season 2 of Titans to see Ser Jorah as a Batman Beyond-esque Bruce Wayne. He's really good on GoT, so it'll be weird having good acting in a show where the main quartet are all either boring or flat out bad in terms of performances.

@ElJefe - He's in season 1. You get a quick flash of him in the trailer. He's portrayed by Ian Ziering.

Because of how good this looks, it makes me hate Titans even more for such a waste of potential.

tmp3 - 5/28/2019, 12:19 PM
@THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - Even on a purely aesthetic level, it's obscene how much more expensive this looks than Titans. The cinematography, the sets, the colour grading not having some ugly ass blue filter.

@THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - Here's hoping Titans S2 is better. Doom Patrol was amazing, so I'm optimistic.

@Fekkius - It's hard to get excited after the grandpa Batman casting but we'll see.
