Warner Bros. has found a great deal of success with its TV shows and while DC Entertainment continues to struggle with its big screen endeavours, the studio is definitely beating Marvel Studios on the small screen. That looks set to continue with the DC Universe streaming service, a platform which will feature a number of TV shows, including Titans, Doom Patrol, Metropolis, and Swamp-Thing.

Now, That Hashtag Show has revealed that Aquaman director James Wan will co-direct the latter's pilot alongside Deran Sarafian. Wan was named as an executive producer last month and so it makes sense that he'll take on a larger role in proceedings, especially as his name
being connected to it will generate interest. Sarafian, meanwhile, has over two decades of TV experience so he definitely knows his stuff.

His credits include shows like Buffy the Vampire Slayer, House, and Fringe. A pilot episode is massively important because it not only sets the stage for what comes next but has to hook viewers and get them to tune into the rest of the series. Now that Swamp-Thing has a set of directors, we'll hopefully start hearing some casting news soon especially as character breakdowns have already surfaced online.

I wonder how much they’re going to explore his powers. His powers are actually fascinating.

Now just get GDT involved, somehow, maybe get a Jack Kirby Demon show going and a bunch of other series, set them all in the same universe and give us a big JLD film as an event movie, bringing all the characters together.

After rewatching the USA Network's Swamp Thing recently, I can see how they could easily advance this character even further. Focus more on his god-like powers as a woodland protector, taking on paranormal, mythological and folklore creatures.

Wondering how the streaming service will debut in August as rumored, when many of these shows are still in development let alone started filming. Will these shows be weekly like CW, or will the entire series come out a la Netflix?
