A costume update for Grant Gustin's Flash is long overdue. Season three of The Flash paid a visit to the future and revealed a cool new suit for the iconic DC Comics superhero and it appears as if the Fastest Man Alive will don that when the show returns to The CW. As you can see below, a new batch of set photos have surfaced and they show Barry in a costume much closer to his comic book counterpart.

Green Arrow got a similar update a couple of years ago and it makes sense that the same will now be the case for the Flash, especially as the only thing that's changed in the past few seasons is the logo!

After his return from the Speed Force, it would add up for Barry to get a new look which marks the beginning of a fresh status quo for the series, especially as this year will finally see the season's big bad be someone other than a speedster! What do you guys think of the Flash's new look? Sound off below.

Not really an improvement. Expected more of a body suit or something similar to the suit of batman in bvs, but then for the flash

Improvement, though it could be more brighter shade of red.

So here we have a speedster that can travel through time, dimensions, and between alternate universes, but somehow CAN'T FIND A BETTER MATERIAL FOR HIS SUIT THAN FRICKING LEATHER.

Sounds about right.

The original Flash series had it PERFECT.

@captquirk - I agree. It's probably the best example of of superhero suit that's been made yet. I know it was expensive...something like $100k in 1990.

@RaKita - And with the advancements in the field, they could replicate that suit for much less.

Crumpled leather...again. Yeah, no. I kinda gave up watching all the superhero TV shows after the mid-season beak. Though I tried sticking with AOS, but never saw the last five episodes because I got so sick of how that show would have so many interruptions

@PewPewPew - These shows have to change. People will not keep tuning in to shows like AOS, Flash, Green Arrow, Supergirl. It's a dying format. Netflix is doing a cool thing. Legion did an awesome thing, but these cheap 22 episode shows are doomed in my opinion;
