With the two-part Gorilla City event in the rear-view mirror, The Flash now shifts its focus back to the season's real Big Bad, Savitar!

Next week's episode will see the God of Speed make a return, albeit in a slightly different manner than we're used to as he finds a way to enter Wally's mind and make the Kid-Flash question whether
everthing he's seeing is actually real or not. Meanwhile, Barry and Iris will have their own issues as a dangerous secret threatens to take away their happiness.

Check out the new promo for episode fifteen, titled "The Wrath of Savitar," below:

"The Wrath of Savitar" - (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) (TV-PG, V) (HDTV)

SAVITAR VISITS WALLY - While training with Barry (Grant Gustin), Wally (Keiynan Lonsdale) starts to have visions of Savitar, which he hides from the team. A dangerous secret threatens Barry and Iris' (Candice Patton) happiness. Alexandra La Roche directed the episode written by Andrew Kreisberg & Andrew Wilder (#315). Original airdate 3/7/2017.

Blinded by anger, Barry unwittingly plays into Zoom's game and uncovers the evil speedster's true goal: to destroy all the earths in the multiverse. In the face of his life, Barry ultimately gets the upper hand against Zoom and defeats his nemesis. But unable to celebrate victory, Barry makes a world-shaking decision and speeds back in time to the night his mother died to stop Reverse Flash from killing her, irrevocably changing his past and redetermining his future.

The Flash features:
Grant Gustin as Barry Allen/Flash

Danielle Panabaker as Caitlin Snow
Carlos Valdes as Cisco Ramon
Tom Cavanagh as Dr. Harrison Wells

Still super weird seeing Savitar go from CGI to practical. The budget mustve been sucked dry between him and Gorilla City. Not sure why they made him entirely CGI to begin with if they could've done this. I'm all for it though....the CGI fighting/modelling was terrible at points.

@MattBellissimo - They confirmed they changed plans during the season (first half and second half look like different seasons), so maybe Savitar role got more presence and with Gorilla City and stuff they switched to adapt to the budget.

I quite prefer this practical version of Savitar. As Matt pointed out, the CGI was a little funky at times.

Seriously, next season they NEED to stop doing speedsters as the main baddies. It just becomes the same thing over and over again.

-Villain speedster is faster than Barry
-Barry works to become faster
-Someone on Team Flash is a traitor (or past traitor)
-Dias ex Machina allows Barry to defeat the faster villain in the end

After 3 seasons of it, it's just gotten old and no speedster has gotten close to being as good as Reverse-Flash...so don't they just use Reverse Flash and developing more on his relationship to Barry instead of leveling up like a video game and introducing a faster and faster boss?

It just makes it all kind of boring.

Grodd SHOULD have been the main villain of season 3. He could have used mind control to talk through people and control people and he has clear motivation set up by the previous two seasons. But nope....another speedster.

@MrDandy - They dont have anymore villains they alredy use all the main ones, they only have left:

Cicada, Daniel West, Hunter Zolomon original backstory and Cobalt Blue. The only big Rogue, wich doesnt use Speed they have left is off course: Abra Kadabra.

All the other main Rogues and main villains have been use alredy. This show did it, in 3 Seasons they used everysingle Rogue in The Flash Gallery dont ask me how, but they did it...

For Season 4 they only have left the obscure and less known characters, even then it would be really cool if they make an story about the Future coming to Barry...

Because they have Abra Kadabra who is one of the most powerful and dangerous villains Barry ever faced, who is from the future and along him we could see Kil%Reg this techno-organic virus and they could present Chunk into the Team and have him had a Redemption Arc helping the team use his powers for good.

But seriously they dont have more villains left, Savitar and Alchemy were the last big ones along Mirror Master and Top.

They cant bring together the Rogues because clearly Warner wants those villains for their Main Flash Film and Grodd is too expensive, so Season 4 is mystery for me.

@MrDandy - This could be really cool: Abra Kadabra is one the villains they have left, he is from the future and he uses technology wich looks like Magic to the people.

They also have left: Dmane and Mazdan two masterminds from the Future who are trap in this past Earth, so clearly that along a bunch of villains with tech based powers they have left:

Baron Katana, Big Sir, Mister Originality, Blacksmith, The Eel, Spin and
The Suit could make a pretty different story.

@AleSir19 -

I think the whole 'motif' of the next season should be Barry stuck in the future. He would fight people like Abra Kadabra, and the secretly observe the conflict of his future self and Thawne (it could be a good opportunity to show the whole 'red-sky crisis' when future Flash was said to vanish).

Meanwhile, Wally should be the Flash of the present, similarly to how he was the main Flash in the 90' comics. He could fight the the two Rogue clans fighting each other (the meta-rogues led by Mirror Master vs. the non-meta ones led by Snart).

There might also be someone pulling the strings behind all that. For example, the psychotic Inertia, or as I mentioned before - Abra Kadabra.

@Faris - It is really hard to say, because The Flash is really different from all the other superhero comics. The Flash isnt about Barry Allen but Wally also, even about Jesse or Jay Garrick.

So we need to see if they find a way to do this kind of things, if they finally pull the trigger and let Wally take over the lead role, i doubt i really doubt it but who knows.

All the shows have a clear formula and structure, i dont know if they can pull this out for more than 1 or 2 episodes. Because it would be really expensive and it would mean all the recurrent characters should be gone.

So i think they could do the other side of the coin, they could bring villains from the future to the past.

And if they really want to pull the trigger, they could make Barry dissapear in some kind of crisis, but i doubt it.

I'm not hating the show. The characters are still likable enough and fun enough that the show is enjoyable simply based on the strength and charm of their actors....but they need to start doing new things because it's getting old real fast (no pun intended).

The romance in this show is beyond corny. Wally and Jesse is just rushed, would've been better if they stayed friends. Barry and Iris quickly got dull. And Cisco hooking up with Gypsy is cool and all, but him riding solo kinda made him unique.

If the show can just focus less on the sappy stuff, then things would get better.

Savitar looks better with a practical suit. I had never noticed that he had the lightning bolt logo too. Huh.

Wally is worse than Iris for me this season. He's up there on the Felicity level as far as me not being able to stand his scenes. At least Felicity is fun to look at.
