The Flash is gearing up for a season heckuva finale next week as the Scarlet Speedster (Grant Gustin) gets a rematch with the Reverse-Flash (Tom Cavanagh), and Nora (Jessica Parker Kennedy) finds herself in a fight for her life against the increasingly dangerous Cicada II (Sarah Carter).

Check out the promo for "Legacy" below, and let us know what you think is going to happen in the episode in the comments.

"Legacy" - (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) (Content Rating TBD) (HDTV)

BARRY FACES OFF WITH REVERSE FLASH - Barry (Grant Gustin) faces off with his oldest, and most formidable nemesis, Reverse Flash (Tom Cavanagh). Gregory Smith directed the episode with story by Lauren Certo and teleplay by Todd Helbing & Eric Wallace (#522). Original airdate 5/14/2019.

Matching wits with The Thinker, who by season’s end had harnessed the powers of all twelve bus metas he created, stretched Team Flash to their limits, but with the help of some new allies, Barry Allen (aka The Flash) and company were able to put a stop to the Enlightenment and save Central City once again. However, with the arrival of Barry and Iris’ speedster daughter, Nora, who arrived from the future admitting to having made a “big mistake,” things are anything but status quo. Will parenthood be the challenge that finally slows The Flash down?

When the promo pic in the finale promo features Barry screaming in panic you know it's gonna be quite the hour next week.

Review coming later, I have to catch up first with last night's Arrow and then this.

Part of me loves that the shows (CW) split out so much from the namesake character, and i understand why they do it, and i love some of the topical obvious things, and some of the deep dives even more... But i feel like the more they introduce, the more the show gets diluted from the main character's story.
Some episodes we get barely any Flash (being Falsh) or hardly any Green Arrow (Being Green Arrow) Of course i contradict myself. lol
maybe thats why, on paper, legends should be the hardest show to swallow.
but its often times one of the best; despite the characters losing their comic identities (are they even White Canary & Heatwave anymore, whens the last time Ray was the Atom for more than 1 quick scene)
its a conundrum, I dont want to stop seeing new characters. but i think they need to pay a bit more mind to the bigger ones.

I too felt like this was the weakest season of flash.
but hopefully they will pick up on that and bounce back strong.

It was nice seeing Nora finally owning up her adulthood and convincing her parents that she had to use the Negative Speed Force to be ahead of Cicada II. All of her mistakes and growth came together.

My only question is just how the clock in Thawne's cell worked for it have finally reached zero. I guess Nora did return specifically to moments in time to be mentored.

If they have been using his own Negative Speed Force against him as torture and also to kill him on his death row, does it mean they also use others' metas powers to kill them with it? Can't imagine Negative Speed Force being used to kill others than Thanwe but then again it was enough to leave the walls of Cisco's workshop burnt.

Barry was pretty cool dodging the red lightning coming out from Nora, like laser tag.

I wonder if Nora can keep the NSF (Negative Speed Force) after this because it came in handy to be steps ahead of Grace finishing up the cryo-atomizer. Funny how she's still the angry little girl in her mind palace, the anger runs strong in the Cicada fam.

The wound in her head is definitely what makes her see her dead uncle's worst traits for motivation.

I felt for Joe here, his anxiousness was palpable being at charge when Signh was gone.

Nice that they sticked with their consent rule for the average meta that wanted or not to get rid of it. I hope Sherloque doesn't have red flags after he respected his GF's choice to keep her own and have her wait on his Earth until they're finished.

The final fight while Cisco was trying to de-activate the device was tense. Ralph even went full T-1000 to fight Grace with Killer Frost.

Nora's handwrist device came in handy in helping Cisco but I suppose she can't use it to summon Gideon or anything now.

Can't believe they ended it right before they destroy the dagger. D: Ralph wondered where did the mirror gun sent the satelite's core earlier and Cisco handwaved it and maybe he was right about it, but if the daggers are the same one and the mirror gun does destroy things then that means the one attached to Thawne will also be gone and he'll be set free. I liked the small flashbacks mixed with his earlier scenes where he put it all together: he wanted to be freed from it and it could only happen if Cicada appeared earlier in the past. Grace's involvement was definitely unforseen back then even for him but the goal was the still to destroy it.

At least that's what I gathered.

That preview looks cool but can't tell what is going on. Seems they will have to stop both Cicada II from killing her past self and also stop Thawne from doing whatever else comes next after escaping.

And after this Barry's trust in others will have lessened a lot more, with the villains above all else.

@Mysterion - its a real shame; season started out with potential but it quickly devolved into mindless stupidity. It may end up being my least favorite Flash season.

They really need to kill off half the characters and get back to a show mostly about Barry.

Mother of God Chris Klein suuuuuckkssss! How he ever gets acting gigs is beyond me. Cicada would be 100 times more interesting if they had a better actor...or AN actor period.

This season hasn’t been great, but with Arrow finishing with the crisis crossover, and flash is clearly building to it to with Thawne looking to be coming back in a big way. I’m hopeful of good things next season
