THE FLASH Producers Tease Barry Receiving Some Mystery Help To Take Down The Thinker In Season 4

The Flash executive producers Andrew Kreisberg and Todd Helbing discuss what's being set up for season 4 of the The CW's speedster superhero show as Barry Allen confronts "The World's Fastest Mind."

The Flash executive producers Todd Helbing and Andrew Kreisberg tease that The Thinker is someone that Barry won't be able to just defeat by outrunning him. Whereas past seasons focused on "Barry thr athlete", season 4 will look to reinforce Barry's cerebral skills as a forensic detective, something the show moved away from in latter seasons.

Kreisberg and Helbing also teased that Barry will need help of, "Cisco, Caitlin and a few other surprise people to be able to get one step ahead of The Thinker."  Who do you think Barry will turn to for help to defeat a villain who presents more of a mental challenge as opposed to a physical one.

Details on a crossover with Arrow have already been revealed, which will see Felicity Smoak take a quick trip to Central City.  Perhaps it's her tech expertise that will be relied upon?  With speed no longer a key factor in defeating the villain, will Jay Garrick still have a prominent roal to play?

The Flash season 4 premieres on October 10 at 8/7c on The CW.

Flash season 1 was great, 2 was a mixed bag, and 3 was overwhelmingly disappointing. it just got so repetitive with the different Mystery Speedster of the Year. Hopefully this season gives us something different while being a return to form.

I really liked Season 1. The show lost me on Season 2. Now I mainly follow Legends of Tomorrow but I'm happy whenever that such has guest appearences from Barry or even Arrow.

Can Barry think for himself for once... And do the right thing independently? Just once. I mean, I guess you can say going in the Speed Force from the Season finale was all his idea. But we haven't seen the ramifications for that.
