Season 5 of The Flash is a thing, as we’ve long known, and now it seems we’re about to learn something brand new. You see, it appears as if the showrunners are planning to bring Caitlin Snow’s father into the fray.
Not too long ago, That Hashtag Show came across a casting description that seems to describe Doctor Thomas Snow. For those who are wondering why we haven’t seen this character, well, that’s because he’s estranged from his daughter.
"Described as a Caucasian male in his 50’s, Dr. Snow is an extremely intelligent geneticist who has been MIA for a few decades. As he returns to Central City, Dr. Snow will do his best to make up for lost time with his daughter Caitlin and his wife Carla. But what they don’t know about Thomas is that he is keeping a big and mysterious secret."
Caitlin’s father returning to town shouldn’t come as a surprise if this piece of information is real. The ending of Caitlin’s storyline in Season 4 of The Flash would be the perfect reasoning to bring her father into the spotlight.
You see, Caitlin had her Killer Frost powers since she was a child, which means she was either born with these powers, or her father did some strange experiments. Whatever the case may be at this point, Killer Frost is no normal metahuman.
It should be interesting to see how Season 5 of The Flash explains everything when it returns
Additionally, we should point out that doctor Thomas Snow’s entrance could also see the return of Caitlin’s mother, who hasn’t appeared on the show since Season 3.
