THE FLASH: Which Of The Many Faces Of Wells Will Join Team Flash In Season Six?

If you haven't yet seen the season five finale of The Flash then you may want to shy away from this article, as it does contain mild spoilers regarding the events of the final episode.

For those of you still with us, it was revealed at the end of season five that Team Flash would no longer have Sherloque Wells (or Vibe) to round out their numbers, and while Tom Cavanaugh's face may be plastered on Reverse Flash, that is in actuality Eobard Thawne - many fans' favorite Wells.

We may not know who we are going to see help the team next, but we have seen some of the other faces of Wells that didn't stick around for entire seasons. Thanks to the Council of Wells, there is a wealth to pull from.

Danielle Panabaker, who plays both Caitlin Snow and Killer Frost (obviously) in the show, shared her opinion on who her favorite Wells has been so far.

"Have you seen the photo of Gandalf Wells? It's really funny, [but my favorite] is Herr Wells, I think." Meanwhile Carlos Valdez, who plays Cisco Ramon, agreed that Gandalf may be cool but had his own favorite ready. "I like Gandalf Wells, [but my favorite] was that weird Mad Max Wells."

Also, in a recent conversation, Showrunner Todd Helbing joked that they have to start coming up with new ideas for Wells characters towards the end of a season.

"That's more Eric Wallace than myself. Eric and the writers and Tom -- that question sort of rears its head right around episode 17, 18. So I know that those guys have had some conversations and what they're talking about seems like it's going to be a lot of fun."

In the last episode, it did look as though Sherloque Wells may have gone to Steampunk Earth or Earth-17, which is not his home. Some are speculating that this means his time may not be over, or that Steampunk Wells will be the one joining the team. However, with Thawne on the loose, will the sixth season require yet another version of Wells?

What do you think? Should Tom Cavanaugh bring in a new character, or should he focus on Eobard Thawne in the upcoming season? Let us know below!

The original E1 Wells would be cool, either that or Hells Wells lmao. Honestly tho they should just let Tom focus on being Thawne next season. I love how dedicated Tom seems to be to this show, but they're gonna run out of ideas for new Wells eventually.

Bring in Earth 1 Harrison Wells

Considering the Multiverse is probably ending (unless they change the ending of Crisis), either use time travel to introduce the Earth 1 Harrison Wells and just keep him around or its time to retire the Harrison Wells character

Glad that everyone agrees that the original Earth-1 Wells deserves some justice. I am always up for him to return, somehow.

I did found very funny Herr Wells at the star of the 5th Season because how he annoyed Cisco by pretending very convincingly that he was a fan of Flash. 😂

Know what would be interesting? No new Wells this season. Keep Tom obviously because he's playing Thawne, but it'd be interesting to see "Team Flash" really scaled down and to see Barry just try to be a solo superhero like he is in the comics, especially if Cisco is gone too. Keep Caitlin around as a supporting character but give her her own arc to keep her separate to Barry most of the season, and hell why don't we even make Iris a reporter again and have her do that instead of being Barry's "guy in the chair"?

A guy can dream...

I personally would prefer no new wells, but if one has to be in it I'd like to see Wells the grey. The reason being the next season will have to deal with Crisis, so why not bring in a wizard who can fight with a magic staff. If not that one, a Cyberpunk one could be interesting. Think like the wizards in the Shadowrun universe.

If a Wells is going to return, make it Earth 2 Wells. But more importantly, make the next season higher quality and not more of the same mediocrity that we have come to expect these last three seasons. Could care less which Wells, if we even get one; just give us a good Flash season like the early days.

No more Wells. Period.

I loved wells... The Thawne Wells before his big reveal, the Earth-2 Wells, and even HR Wells were great additions to the show.

However, at this point I am so sick (and tired) of all these different universe Wells. It was amusing at first, but now the joke is old. I get that the multiverse is vast, and each instance (in anyone's life) could make a completely different person, but I'm no longer interested in seeing that.

I also think it might be a slight burn out on end. I was attached to Thawne (again before reveal) and his connection to Barry, and (like Barry) was hurt by his betrayal. Earth-2 Wells was great, I get why they wrote him off with his loss of intelligence... However, I feel like that was just temporary. HR was the final Wells I felt a connection to in the show, and like Earth-1 Laurel Lance they go and axe him.

Although I wouldn't be opposed to Earth-1 Wells somehow coming back. He was a treat in those flashbacks we saw of him. If not him, then they should just bring back E2 Wells (or even somehow revive HR). I don't want to see anymore variants.

If they're going to bring another Wells, then make it Gandolf Wells and make the season magic based instead of the usual science.

How’s this for an idea: from some unspecified Earth, we get Charles Foster Wells, a version who’s a parody of a young Orson Welles?
