Tom Felton Will Not Return As A Series Regular On THE FLASH

Despite still being a pretty prominent member of Team Flash at the end of season three of The CW's The Flash, Tom Felton will not be returning to the popular TV show as a series regular in season four.

Team Flash will be dealing with the aftermath of season three, and it appears as if they will be doing it with one less member. Entertainment Weekly has learned that Tom Felton, who played CSI Detective Julian Albert, will not be returning as a series regular in the upcoming season four of The Flash.

Julian Albert was a welcome addition to Team Flash once the team managed to free him of Savitar's hold. Felton joined the cast at the beginning of season three as a foil to Barry's professional life at the CCPD, however, he was then welcomed into the group with open arms, and helped them bring down some of their most dangerous foes.

As of right now, it's being reported that Felton does not have another appearance scheduled. Since he was a part of the season three finale, it's unclear how the show will tie up his departure.

The Flash season four will return to The CW on October 10, 2017.

I thought he was an interesting character, but I can see why he'll be in less episode this next season.

Now if there was to be anyone that I wish would be in less episodes it would be Iris West. Then having her with Barry won't feel so forced.

@BlackIceJoe - Lets have a plot where her and Barry are allowed to switch places at anytime to let Barry out of the prison when the Flash is needed, but they are never allowed to see each other or communicate with each other at all. Just for shits and giggles.

@ScionStorm - That would be hilarious, plus make Barry grow up and not need a moral speech from the rest of the team, to get him motivated.

Let me just say this, I have no problem with the actress, but because they use her character as a crutch, she just weakens him.

I felt he was only put in there as sort of a "red herring" for Savitar. You could've taken his character out of the season and it would've played out the exact same way.

I didnt expect his character to have as much a presence as he did considering he's more of a movie actor. They should've at least given him a proper send off last season. After the Alchemy stuff he did seem more like just a background character and his relationship with Caitlyn felt a bit forced at times. He probably didnt like how his character was written and felt wasted.
