THE JOKER May Be The Next DC Super-Villain To Slice His Way Onto TITANS Season 2

In Titans' explosive finale, Dick Grayson envisioned Batman finally giving into his dark side and taking the lives of his most dangerous rogues.. And the real Clown Prince of Crime might not be far behind.

The explosive finale of the DC Universe Exclusive Titans caught viewers by surprise, when Dick Grayson was called back to Gotham City to learn that his former mentor had finally gone off the deep end. Mourning the loss of Commissioner Gordon, Batman finally decides to cut off his humanity and abolish his no-kill rule, slaughtering the Joker and all of his most famous rogues. Unsurprisingly, this turned out to merely be a hallucination induced by the show's main antagonist Trigon. Still, fans may still get the chance to glimpse the actual Clown Prince of Crime and as more than just a corpse. Jason Todd actor Curran Walters recently posted this cryptic, but suggestive photo of the character on Instagram:

This isn't the first time that Walters has alluded to Batman's nemesis, however, as he has previously expressed an interest in adapting Batman: A Death In The Family (which saw Jason Todd murdered by the Joker, subsequently resurrected as the murderous Red Hood). If the Joker does indeed appear, he won't be the only major supervillain joining the fray. Geoff Johns has already confirmed that a very different Deathstroke is coming to Titans at some point.

TITANS follows young heroes from across the DC Universe as they come of age and find belonging in a gritty take on the classic Teen Titans franchise. Dick Grayson and Rachel Roth, a special young girl possessed by a strange darkness, get embroiled in a conspiracy that could bring Hell on Earth. Joining them along the way are the hot-headed Starfire and loveable Beast Boy. Together they become a surrogate family and team of heroes.

From executive producers Akiva Goldsman, Geoff Johns, and Greg Berlanti.

Still have yet to dive into this series. Now that season 1 is over, I'll give it a go.

What's the consensus so far?

I've heard about the *controversial* season ending/finale.

@L0RDbuckethead -
It's pretty good, but it is a gritty reimagining. Most of the people complaining seem to either be hardcore purists or the usual "Everything has to be light-hearted except Batman, or it's NOT FUN!!" crowd.

This show is weird i liked almost every episode but was disappointed at the season. They tried to tackle to much and left the season unfinished. I think if they can stream line the plot more it can be great but if they do what they did this her it will be underwhelming.

This show is a goddamn mess. There's no resolution at all, it feels completely unfinished. I don't know what the showrunners were thinking but they dropped the ball so hard.

If they do use The Joker I hope he is an actual character and not some “ghost” they just show from the back of the shoulders or from the wrist down, holding a knife or crowbar like they did Batman.

That probably just means Joker will kill Jason in season 2. Not that he will appear.

This show needs more Wolfman & Perez, less Geoff Johns.
