Based on one of the most critically acclaimed comics of all time. A mysterious plague has wiped out all men on the planet, and women are left to pick up the pieces of society. The only surviving man is Yorick, an amateur escape artist who is the key to the continual survival of the human race. Special Agent 355 is tasked to protect his life at all costs. Luckily, she's really good at her job...

IGN and Drake 1129 Productions are proud to present this new short film, made by super fans of the comic. It covers the initial plague that kills any mammal with a Y chromosome (except Yorick and his trusty monkey companion, Ampersand) and an awesome fight between Agent 355 and a fanatical group of Amazons.

Directed and Written by Christian Cardona
Produced by Kent King and Christian Cardona

Well, the acting is meh, but seeing it on film looks pretty cool, would love it if the made it into a show. Making it a movie would not do it justice, just look how well walking worked out, it would be cool. :)

Great fan film, the acting is poor, but didn't expect it to be top notch. Watching this makes me think that Shia Lebeouf would have been really good as Yorik. Hope HBO does it as a mini series.

Y would be great if it was adapted like The Walking Dead. It's a huge story with plenty of action and twists. I don't think a movie would be long enough to capture all of that.

Extremely well made. Really fun to watch.

And I agree with everyone else, Y should be turned into a television series like Walking Dead. You could do so much more with the story in a TV series than you could in a movie.

i thought everything was pretty well done. I would for sure watch it as a T.V. show (same actors & all), I think it would work pretty well as a movie too. SUPER PROPS FOR A FAN FILM!

i agree with everyone that a tv show ala TWD is the only way to go for this story. a trilogy of films could never fit in all the details and AMC (or whoever) would have a definite hit on their hands.

there's too many people i could see as yorrick, so maybe an unknown would be best.

This most definitely needs to be a TV series, and only on HBO. AMC doesn't have full-on swearing or any nudity, and this story has plenty of both, along with some really disturbing violence. And it's all integral to the impact this story has.

The ideal Yorrick would've been Paul Rudd when he was younger, not sure who it should be now. Probably an unknown or up-and-comer.

I was thinking someone like Aaron Johnson or Andrew Garfield, but I dunno.

The acting was bad. Hero was the only decent one in this. I think Yorick would be quite difficult to cast. I think Jada Pinkett Smith from the matrix would make a good 355 though

Really, really, really well done! Didn't have a problem with the acting! Especially for a fan film. The production value and direction was awesome. I thought they really captured the tone of the comic, although they did take quite a few liberties in the story, but it's a lot to squeeze into 20 minutes. Further proof this would be a better television series then movie.

Thanks guys!
