Does This Photo Reveal Whether Or Not 'Jon Snow' Will Return In GAME OF THRONES?

Everyone from Kit Harington to the series' showrunners have maintained that Jon Snow will not be part of Game of Thrones' highly anticipated sixth season, but does this photo finally reveal the truth?

Earlier today, a number of photos of Kit Harington at Wimbledon found their way online (one of which can be seen below), and social media has gone into a frenzy as a result. Why? Well, as you can see, the actor has one again grown out his beard and hair, something many are taking as an indication that he is indeed going to return as Jon Snow in the sixth season of Game of Thrones

How that will happen remains to be seen, especially as the show has now caught up with the books and we can't look to those for clues. There are plenty of interesting and believable fan theories out there about how it could happen of course, so it does seem at least somewhat plausible.

Harington has said that he cut his hair after shooting the finale, but mentioned in a recent interview that he would have no issue regrowing it if that's what a role required. So, whether this is for that or fans are right and it's for Game of Thrones really remains to be seen at this point. Here's hoping it's the latter, eh? Whatever the answer, one thing is for sure, and that is that Winter Is Coming...

@ckal

Harrington said that he was not returning to the show as evidenced by his then changed hairstyle. He said the showrunners had a clause in his contract that he would not change his hairstyle. For him to have the same hairstyle is evidence of his return to the show.

Duh.

- Book series is called "A Song of Ice and Fire"
- D&D and Harington making everyone clear that Jon is dead. No need to state it vehemently if he really is truly dead.
- Jon's heritage constantly being discussed this season
- The Hardhome battle + Night's King gloating towards Jon
- Melisandre arrives at the Wall during the season 5 finale
- Jon's arc follows Joseph Campbell's "The hero's journey" for the most part

Then again I should expect this from a blogger who's only niche as of late is to ignite flame wars and use his platform to passive aggressively troll his readers. Seriously who does that shit especially in the age of on demand and binge watching!

It's weird cos he's actually a terrible actor, but cos of how boring he is he suits the role of Jon Snow perfectly

Once the new book is released and probably 2-4 years later he'll return probably

It'll be more of an indication to me if he gets any more movies or shows in development. It seems like in the past he's been able to do one movie a year while doing the show. He's filming a movie now. If he has anything more in development listed on IMDB that would be more evidence of him not returning than anything.

Of course he might be gone for one season and come back the next. Bran was gone all season. They might do the same with Jon

He is obviously returning. There is no doubting that. But a picture of him with a beard doesn't mean anything.
He's most likely at Wimbledon for two reasons:
1. He likes tennis
2.

Also, maybe he just grew accustomed to the beard and prefers it that way?

@RidiculousFanBoyDemands

I think Josh thinks its funny when he ruins things for people on this site because I think he genuinely hates most of its readers.

Anyways, this isn't proof of anything. I hope he comes back but until he reports to the set no one will know.

@charlie2094 - He is not only Ice, but he is also Fire. Song of Ice and Fire is Jon Snow. He has the blood of the Whites and the Blood of the Dragons...Now if it was called, A Song of High Cholesterol and Manic Depressive, then it would be aboot me.

Neither the headline nor the teaser mentions that Jon Snow was killed, and if you haven't seen the finale a MONTH after it aired (when just about every site under the sun posted headlines talking about his death), then that's your tough luck.

I think he will be back, in some capacity. In fact they could have two more full seasons; if they go back and show other events that were happening to other characters simultaneously as the last two season. Bran and Hodor and that crew weren't mentioned in this season at all. Not to mention all the other characters that were left out or not even introduced. Maybe he returns in some sort of flash back scene as well. At least that way they show writers could get some inkling of what Martin is doing and they can sort of stay in tune with each other. There are a lot of story telling options here, and they do not necessarily have to progress the story beyond whats benn published. They can just fill in some gaps of things they missed still have a lot great material. I would hate for the storyline to progress without any input from the source material, and I think the show will suffer for it. But if he is truly dead in the books as well then let him stay that way!
