"I've never been much of a fighter... apologies for what you're about to see." Turns out Ser Davos Seaworth was drawing Longclaw to defend Jon Snow's body as many assumed from that first Game Of Thrones season 6 trailer - but from whom?

Actor Liam Cunningham brought the first clip from the premiere episode to the Conan O'Brien show last night, and all is made clear.

There's nothing too SPOILERY , but you may prefer to hold off for a few weeks to find out what was really going on in that scene.

Summers span decades. Winters can last a lifetime. And the struggle for the Iron Throne continues. It stretches from the south, where heat breeds plots, lusts and intrigues, to the vast and savage eastern lands, where a young queen raises an army. All the while, in the frozen north, an 800-foot wall of ice precariously protects the war-ravaged kingdom from the dark forces that lie beyond. Kings and queens, knights and renegades, liars, lords and honest men...all play the 'Game of Thrones.' An original series based on George R.R. Martin's best-selling 'A Song of Ice and Fire' series.

@litobirdy - Mark's article says, "but from whom?" The original trailer made it seem like he might be about to fight the other 3 guys in the room. This put it together, so we now understand all of them are on the same side preparing to fight the always scummy Jeor Mormont and friends.

Cool clip. The Onion Knight is definitely my favorite character on the show since they like to kill everyone else I like.

He's not quite as bad as Ramsey or Joffrey, but I would absolutely love to see Jon Snow [frick] up Alliser Thorne with some truth this season.

@CallMeColossus - Too bad Samwell Tarly is half a world away, heading to the Citadel in Oldtown, so I don't think he'll be killing Ser Alliser anytime soon. Though I hope that piece of shit gets what he deserves!

Dang...I was hoping that Jon Snow would be the one to get revenge on Alliser and his cronies. Though it looks like Ghost might do that.
