GAME OF THRONES: Kit Harington Finally Seems To Confirm A Massive SPOILER

There's probably no need for that tag at this point, because we're going to be discussing one of the worst kept secrets in Game Of Thrones history! Still, for those not up to date with season 5 of the series, beware of potentially massive SPOILERS after the jump...

Fans have been clamoring for some confirmation that Jon Snow would return on the next season of Game Of Thrones after being stabbed repeatedly by his Night's Watch "brothers" in the season 5 finale, and now we might just have it - straight from the bastard's mouth!

Kit Harington has been sighted on set multiple times, and even before that it did seem fairly obvious that the honorable son of Ned Stark (well, that remains to be seen!) was going to be resurrected by Melisandre, who just so happened to show up at the Wall before the knives came out. But still, this is the first time the actor himself has hinted that it won't be the last we see of Jon in the series. Here's what he had to say to Belgian magazine, Humo, via Watchers On The Wall.

Kit: "The important thing is that I now know exactly how long I am still under contract, and in the meantime-" Interviewer: "How many more seasons would that be?" Kit: "Nice try (laughs). I can’t talk about that. Let’s just say that Game of Thrones will remain a part of my life for a while, I’ll probably be in my thirties when it’s over. One thing’s for sure: the day I’m no longer on Thrones is the day I’ll bury myself in movie projects (laughs)."

There you have it. It's not flat out, irrefutable evidence, but it's the closest we've had to it short of an official announcement from HBO. There's also some interesting quotes from Gwendoline Christie (Brienne) and Nathalie Emmanuel (Missandei) about where we'll find their characters next year at the link below.

Technically this isn't much confirmation, because I feel like it was assumed that Harington would be back to portray the corpse of Jon Snow, at the very least. So he could very well be on set, with his hair at the proper length that his contract demands, talking about his contract details, simply because of that.

That said, he's OBVIOUSLY coming back to life. Even if Melisandre's sudden arrival at Castle Black right before Snow's death wasn't the big giveaway, just consider how the last handful of episodes suddenly played up the mystery of Jon Snow's parentage and all the little hints about Lyanna Stark. Clearly they're building up to a reveal of some sort, and killing off Snow right before that reveal would make it meaningless. He'll be back.

Well, it was no coincidence that Melisandre and Davos are at Castle Black. Both have been involved with the limited magic sub plots of GOT and both literally have nothing else to do since Stannis and his army have been annihilated. Snow will come back to life, make a pact with the Wildlings to join his army, defeat the Bolton's, Frey's and control the North as they make adequate preparations for the White Walkers. Davos will serve as Snows advisor and Melisandre will ensure that Snow never truly dies.

It was pretty obvious, I'm glad he finally admitted it.

Love this show. Honestly the way this show is going, when it ends, it will not be a happy ending. I think it will be a ending that pisses people off.

George RR Martin jokingly said his idea for the final shot of the series would be wind/snow lightly blowing as the camera pans over a vast graveyard of tombstones.

He recently said the ending will be very bittersweet. Which kind of goes without saying, well I guess it's a little surprising it'll be somewhat positive. hahaha

Who knows what goes through that mans head. But he is a master story teller. I just hope he doesn't end it badly.

And he better not end it badly after he was so critical of LOST's disappointing ending.

He has mentioned how he admires the LOTR bittersweet ending, so who knows. Time will tell.

I feel this was so obvious by this point. Everything in the season and what not has pointed to this.

It feels good to have practically 100% confirmation however.

It was always pretty obvious. He and Dany are the main characters. I think they sacrifice Theon (kings blood) to make it happen.

Considering the FANTASTIC scene he was spotted on set for last week I don't blame him for finally admitting he'll be around.

After a long bullshit ass day at work, this is the best news I could have seen!! Game of Thrones is a magnificent show but gods damn it's frickin heartbreaking!! If Jon Snow can be brought back by The Red Witch then my life till GOT returns can be somewhat peaceful!!

Pretty obvious but the show is going to jump a few extra hurdles because it thought it would be clever to make it so only bran is a warg/skin-changer. Plus his final chapter was ambiguous

plus we still need to be shown if R+L=J and if he is either the new night's king or Azor Ahai
