GAME OF THRONES Season 6 Premiere Title And Synopsis Released

Check out the season 6 premiere title and synopsis for HBO's Game of Thrones season 6. The synopsis would have you believe that Jon Snow (Kit Harrington) is dead but there's a big clue about his return.

HBO has released an official description and title for the season 6 premiere of the critically acclaimed fantasy drama, Game of Thrones.  The premiere will be titled "The Red Woman" and the official synopsis follows:

“Jon Snow is dead. Daenerys meets a strong man. Cersei sees her daughter again.”

The title alone may be a spoiler. HBO and Kit Harrington have maintained all along that Jon Snow is dead. However, 'The Red Woman' would seemingly be referring to Melisandre, the priestess of R'hllor, or more commonly called on the show, 'The Red Woman'. Disciples of R'hllor have previously been shown to have the ability to resurrect the dead and as luck would have it, Melisandre recently arrived at The Wall just before the season 5 finale faded to black.

Is HBO teasing a resurrection for Jon Snow or is this all a big fake out? Sound off with your theories in the usual spot below.

Game of Thrones returns April 24.

I like this show, but I feel like every season is the same. I don't know why, and it is not going to stop me from watching it, but my excitement goes down with every new season.

@BatesMT - me too...like I said below, I'm kind of over it...and for me, they killed my interest when they went way overboard to convince me my favorite character was dead, now I believe them and don't care...problem is if he's even alive I've moved on now lol...Outlander is good

If the leaked script I read a few months back is even a little accurate this season is going to be ridiculous

I was pissed about Snow, I don't even care now...

If they wanted to create mystery and he's still alive, they went too far...I have bought in that he's dead, too much emotional energy to continue to think he lived after their efforts, and I've divested from the show...I almost hope he is dead now, if I even watch it

@MitchConner - In the books it was executed differently. It was implied that all the Stark kids are Wargs with their direwolves , and it was open to the idea that after dying, Jon was surviving through Ghost.

@Danbito - that would be cool, the show just seems hell bent to chase away fans
