HBO In Talks For A Seventh AND Eighth Season Of GAME OF THRONES
We found out earlier today when Game of Thrones will return to HBO for its sixth season, and now word from the Television Critics Association press tour has come in which reveals that the cable network is in talks to bring the series back for at least two more years...
The sixth season of Game of Thrones is the most highly anticipated yet, especially as it's now overtaken George R.R. Martin's novels, meaning that we're all in the dark about what's next for Jon Snow and company. Well, none of their stories will be wrapping up just yet as Deadline is reporting that HBO is in talks for at least two more seasons of the hit series. This two season order is exactly what happened when the cable network brought Game of Thrones back for a fifth and sixth batch of episodes, so don't be surprised if we hear something official pretty soon. Earlier this year, HBO President Michael Lombardo was quoted as saying: "David (Benioff) and Dan (Weiss) are feeling there’s probably two more years after Season 6, that’s what we’re looking at right now,. We hope that they would change their mind, but that’s how they are feeling now." The big question now of course is whether or not the whole thing is going to end with a movie. What do you guys think?
