Richard E. Grant Joins The Cast Of GAME OF THRONES Season 6

"I demand to have some booze!" We don't know who he'll be playing yet, but the Withnail And I actor's agency CV confirms that he will have a role in the sixth season of HBO's Game Of Thrones. Click on for more, and to let us know which character you think he'll be...

I'm going to try to keep the Withnail quotes to a minimum... but I can't promise anything. According to Winter Is Coming (who cite his official agency CV), Richard E. Grant (Downton Abby, Girls, Bram Stoker's Dracula) has joined the cast of Game Of Thrones season 6 in an undisclosed role.

There are still several main characters yet to be cast, such as Sam's father Randyll Tarly and Theon's uncle Aeron Greyjoy - plus there's always the chance he could be playing someone created just for the TV series.

Whoever Grant winds up as, he's bound to bring them to life with the same brilliance he's displayed throughout his career - and if he gets the opportunity to call someone a "terrible c*nt", well that's just a bonus.

We'll update when we find out more, but for now let us know who you think he's been cast as in the usual place. Game Of Thrones returns to HBO early next year.

Pilou Asbæk was cast as Euron Greyjoy last week, and Ian McShane has joined the cast potentially as Randyll Tarly.

So Grant is certainly playing another role. Perhaps Howland Reed or the late Ser Arthur Dayne?

Never heard of him. All Europeans look the same to me and get grouped into one of two categories: French or Spanish.

I only know him from two things: PBS' Posh Nosh and that Spice Girls film Spice World. Yes, I saw Spice World in theater back in the day and I would do it again! Very memorable seeing that new film in my head for some reason.

@blackandyellow - every single comment you make on here is such a sad, boring and unfunny attempt at saying something humorous. Give it up. You're not funny in the slightest. You're just a borish oaf.

@MrChuff - probably because, and you may wanna sit down for this, your misguided and head-up-your-ass opinion on him couldn't be further from the truth. You don't like him? Fine. Calling him a bad actor? Just utter nonsense. Then again, I forgot the golden rule of the internet - if I don't like something then that's gospel.

Didn't he used to play with Pink Floyd? I assume all British people that are baby boomers are also former band members of Pink Floyd.

He's only joining Game of Thrones because he's got himself a new goal:
