Warner Home Entertainment will be releasing Watchmen in a new collector's edition blu-ray set. The set will be released on November 13, 2012. It will include the Ultimate Cut of the film, hours of previously available bonus material and Watchmen: The Complete Motion Comic. It will also feature the original theatrical cut on DVD, a hardcover edition of the original graphic novel from Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons, and a collectible lenticular packaging. The suggested retail price is $74.98, but it will probably be cheaper than that once pre-orders become available.

only have the DVD and I picked it up for $5 at Wal-Mart....may need to look into this....of course with no Blu-Ray player, it'd be kind of weird....

this is great news,i've seen the ultimate edition & it is very good but i don't own it.

amazon.uk are selling the ultimate edition from £555.00,so this new cheaper version is what i want now.

Watchmen 2-disc director's cut - check.
Graphic novel - check.

No interest whatsoever in duplicate content all over again - check.

No interest in a new glossy box with pretty pictures on it - check.

what i liked most about the ultimate edition is how they cut "tales of the black freighter" into the movie as well.

anyone who's read the graphic novel will know what i mean about comic within a comic,it makes the movie an even more faithful adaption of the graphic novel.

for me the best dc movie so far.

1st watcmen ultimate edition
2nd batman begins
3rd the dark knight
4th superman the movie
5th v for vendetta

I think it's weird how every one on this site has a boner for this movie. The book is my favorite of all time, and I really don't think this adapted it very well.

Don't get me wrong, it's a fun watch. But it doesn't TOUCH the book.

Next up is the Ultimate Seriously Hot Damned Cannot live without, Blow your socks off, Ridiculously Action packed, Directors 2nd cut, Atomically charged, Knock it out of the park, you gotta get this one or you'll regret it the rest of your damn life version!!!!!!!!!! Can't wait!!

@marvel72 I know, it's ridiculous. Plus my DVD player isn't region free so I can't just import the DVD version of it.

@tomonthe, you can make your player region free, google your dvd player model region free code. Its legal, but its not so much the region you have to worry about its ntsc or pal. If you have ntsc it wont play pal right(different format)

Nice! imo, not worth $75 retail, or $68 Amazon, but http://www.shopdcentertainment.com has it for $46, I'll probably pick it up there. ;)
