Cue the "shit show" comments by people who haven't seen past episode 1, or haven't kept up with the last 4-5 episodes. Though they say they have.

I know people keep saying each episode keeps getting better, but clearly I must be watching the wrong show!!

Did I enjoy Firefly? YES! loved it. Avengers! Yes!

Not sure what's missing with this show, but it clearly needs to improve.

Maybe it's just not for you CA1945 nothing wrong with that.

I openly admit if it wasn't for the comics I probably wouldn't be watching this, but it's worth the investment to me for the potential other shows Marvel made undertake if this is successful.

its getting better i would even say that the last AOS episodes its better then the last episodes of arrow IMHO.
the last one (arrow)had some very lame moments close to soap opera levels.

Dmon - 11/22/2013, 9:52 PM
I still watch every episode but they stack up on my DVR last the 3 episodes did anyway. Arrow is one of the few show I watch as it airs, commercials and all.

@konoyaro I will agree the last episode had some lame moments at the beginning but by the end it become awesome. And as far as AOS goes it is getting better but still not better then the mentioned episode of Arrow and most certainly not the last few "episodes" like you suggest. Before this last episode we had "Keep Your Enemies Closer" and "League of Assassins" two of the best ones of the season.

I must admit I did like the show but to seeing how huge the marvel universe is the show lacks character and excitement. If u take shows like Firefly and Warehouse13, you grow attached to the characters and im finding it difficult to do with this show.
Im not totally against it there have been good episodes but I think the only reason im sticking with it is im intrigued by agent coulsons story. They need to bring the rest of the marvel world into it maybe not the Avengers but it needs someone to give it a kick.

@BatmanNightwing etc..

What defenders of the show are complaining about ISN'T the criticism....it's the TYPE of criticism like YOURS which sounds like you haven't actually watched it.

Can you SERIOUSLY have watched the episode before last and STILL make the claim that it's all about the 'name dropping?'

I think you just want superheroes every week on this show and yer not gettin' it, so you're disappointed. And no, "Marvelites" aren't the only ones who disagree with your assessment.

@BatmanRobinNightwing

"well this is my opinion so my bad if it offends the marvelites"
"Im glad you enjoy the show and find it perfect."

It's these sentences that make it harder than neccessary for me to take your opinion and probably valid criticism about the show more seriously.

Insinuating everybody who disagrees with you about AoS is a "Marvelite" (could I get your definition for that, just to avoid misunderstandings?!) and that those who enjoy the show think it's "perfect" just seems a little ... well, urm, short-sighted?

NeoBaggins - 11/23/2013, 2:08 AM
@Peter

Well, it's obviously not the worst review from a technical standpoint. So you either mean it's the worst because you don't agree with the review, or it's the worst because I was reviewing a terrible film and your statement is actually approval.
PeterDarker121
PeterDarker121 - 11/23/2013, 2:20 AM
@Neo No I don't agree with the review. I actually think you only saw it once (because some technical points are severely off) and you need to review your review.

Have you actually re-read it lately? It's seriously off, even if you hated the film. Honestly, you get plot points wrong. lol

Shit show.... Coulson is shit.
A comic book TV series in a world after the battle of new york( why would loki want new york? Thought it was a world invasion) without no marvel comic characters in it..
This show is really stupid, dialogue, story line, tahiti. Shit shit shit
NeoBaggins
NeoBaggins - 11/23/2013, 2:58 AM
@Peter

No need to review my review. It's as well-written now as it was when it was first conceived. I might read it for entertainment value, but critical analysis is absurd. I saw the film and reviewed it accordingly.

Just because you don't agree with the review doesn't mean it's "off" (an unqualified claim). It just means my opinion of the film angers you and the colorful review is like salt in the wound.

Excellent review. Best one written about the film.

THE SHOW IS A GOOD SHOW BUT IT'S A MISSED OPPURTUNITY TO SHOWCASE MARVEL CHARACTERS FROM THE BOOK-INSTEAD OF USING IT AS AN OUTLET FOR ALL THE YET TO BE BROUGHT TO LIVE ACTION MCU CHARACTERS IT IS A MISSED OPPURTUNITY..
PeterDarker121
PeterDarker121 - 11/23/2013, 3:52 AM
@Neo Umm...No, you're full of yourself as usual and you wrote a review TO be reviewed....so I review it as vacuous. As I said, you wrote the review a day after seeing it and much of what you said about the film itself is factually wrong to begin with. For instance, you're the only one on the entire internet who describes Killian as someone who looks like someone from the '80's.'

What?

He looks like NO ONE from the "80's", and I can't take your criticism seriously from that point on because you can't even get your years and your point of references right. lol

Look up George Tuska. He drew Iron Man for YEARS and Killian (and his exaggerated teeth) are an homage to him...lol There's SO much about this film you really have NO clue about. No bragging, but I've see this movie 11 times...and you sound ridiculous reviewing it.

No, it's not The best one written about it, and you really MUST be kidding. That's why only 6 people read it and it wasn't highly recommended.

MightyZeus - 11/23/2013, 3:54 AM
Could this episode be the one to take itself seriously and win me over. Guess i'll just have to wait and see. I'm really hoping this episode will be great...
NeoBaggins
NeoBaggins - 11/23/2013, 4:25 AM
@Peter

I don't make the reviews to be "highly recommended". They're primarily for myself, otherwise I would have stopped making them. But the important thing is that YOU read it. THAT, pleases me.

Far as the semantics about what decade Killian's appearance represents, you've missed the point. His cliche look and demeanor is over-the-top, dated and horribly executed. 90's or 80's, the Iron Man films have yet to have this type of slap-stick comedic element in it. This character type spans the 80's and the 90's, so that's an irrelevant issue to my assessment of the character. It's a trivial distraction from the overall review. Stuttering, pimple-faced, Kenny G ass Killian is uninspired. THAT, is the point.

And you should know these things more than anyone, having seen the film some 11 times. A fate I couldn't possibly begin to imagine.

"I've see this movie 11 times...and you sound ridiculous reviewing it."

DUHHH If you've willingly exposed yourself to Iron Man 3 an outrageous number of times, what other opinion would you have on a negative review other than rage?

Your opinion can't even be considered, let alone taken seriously.
MightyZeus
MightyZeus - 11/23/2013, 4:37 AM
Alrich Killian before he could breath fire reminded me of Edward Nygma from Batman Forever before he became the Riddler.
PeterDarker121
PeterDarker121 - 11/23/2013, 4:44 AM
@"They're primarily for myself"

Really? Then why do you publish them publically? Please, dude. that makes no sense whatsoever, unless you're a narcissist, which you obviously are. Now that you've admitted that you just talk to hear yourself, I REALLY have no respect for your opinions.

No, Killian's character isn't ''80's' (like you said in your "review") or "slap-stick". There's no "slap stick" type of comedy in IM3 and I suggest you look up the definition of 'slapstick'. Again, you're misusing terms you have NO clue about and it makes your comments sound misinformed, and therefore, stupid.

No, Killian isn't 'uninspired' just because you choose to say his name followed by an adjective. He's the epitome of the late 90's Dot-Com desperation that eventually crashed and burned on the same rooftop on the eve of December 31st, 1999.

He came back with a vengeance after September 11th, 2001 and since then, he's played upon our very fears about technology and terrorism. If 'Kenny G' is the pinnacle of your analogous criticism, well...good for you...AGAIN about George Tuska?

Keep blathering on, Neo. It's not helping your case any and you haven't refuted a single thing I've said. Pathetic.
