AGENTS OF SHIELD Moving To 9 PM Next Season; AGENT CARTER Will Bridge The Gap

ABC have released their program schedule for Agents Of SHIELD and Agent Carter, revealing that Agents Of SHIELD will move forward an hour and will now air at 9PM on Tuesdays. While no weekday is confirmed for the upcoming Agent Carter, it was revealed that the show will serve as a bridge between the mid-season finale and mid-season premiere of the show.
This would mean that there could potentially be a thirteen week (three months) gap between the fall and winter portions of the show, it also means that any GMT fans of the show will be forced to watch the show at 2 o'clock in the morning!

"Providence" - With Colonel Glenn Talbot now on their trail, Coulson and his team seek refuge in the last place anyone would look, where they begin to uncover S.H.I.E.L.D.'s most dangerous secrets--secrets that could destroy them all, on "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." stars Clark Gregg as Agent Phil Coulson, Ming-Na Wen as Agent Melinda May, Brett Dalton as Agent Grant Ward, Chloe Bennet as Skye, Iain De Caestecker as Agent Leo Fitz and Elizabeth Henstridge as Agent Jemma Simmons.

Maybe a 9pm time slot will free AoS up a bit, as well. Even in this era of relatively unchecked network freedom, people can still get weirdly prudish about "family hour".

Now that the NFL has expanded their Thursday games to CBS, the only viable nights for shows are Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

The split season is exactly what they did for season 3 of Once Upon A Time, except we'll have Agent Carter to bridge the gap.

if each half season have it's own "finale" it maybe will be better.
Like Heroes, which had volume 3 and 4 in season 3.

if a show is going from 8PM to 9PM, we would call that moving back an hour, not forward an hour.

Great move. I hope wb(cw for the youngins) will move supernatural to 8. They can probably use that as draw for whatever new show the have. Then let arrow be a draw for flash. Never thought I would see the day when comic characters could be watched throughout the week. I almost have up on tv, with the rise of reality tv.
