I need to start watching this show again. I missed the last several episodes of season two, and haven't watched any of season three other than a few minutes of episode one. Don't know why it's not pulling me in.

@KurtWagner1225 Maveth is the name they gave it. It means "DEATH" in Hebrew

Coulson said he didn't want anyone with too personal of an axe to grind to be Director. Wanted someone level headed That's why May wasn't chosen

Coul picked Mack because he doesnt have any experience with ward thus no "Axe to grind" and because May is still dealing with the whole Andrew/Lash thing so her head wasn't in the game.


Amazing episode, I was kinda pissed Mack hasn't gotten his shotgun axe yet. Maybe he's BlackAxe? Would be neat.

Next week's epi is going to be intense!

The way they described Maveth in the show, my very first thought was that it was Ego. I doubt it'll have the face and everything and maybe whoever's on the planet is really just an emodied entity that controls the planet; rather than having a living, breathing Ego on our hands.

I think AOS just became the best weekly comic book show on TV. THIS EPISODE TOOK THIS SHOW TO ANOTHER LEVEL!

THAT MOTHER [frick]ING COCK SUCKING OPENING!

I don't remember the last time a show has managed to shock me like I was shocked tonight.

Just a completely mundane scene and then BAM!

Reminds me of of Buffy when Tara was shot, or when Buffy comes home and finds her mom dead on the sofa.

And THIS was just the episode BEFORE the shocking winter finale.

Seriously though. This show blows the other broadcast comic shows out of the water. No shade to Gotham, Super Girl, Arrow or Flash. Just top notch!

SHIELD tonight had super powers, violence, under cover, spy drama, HYdra, a castle, torture and so much more! Everything I think we could want from a show that draws on all corners of the comics while offering something fresh, new and relevant to the MCU.
