AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. Showrunners Talk Sif And Deathlok

CBR spoke with two of the showrunners from the Marvel Cinematic Universe drama, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. about a number of topics, most interestingly, the conversation included some info on Lady Sif's guest spot on the show and what's coming up in the Deathlok storyline. On Sif, Tancharoen stated, " It's really exciting for us to be the ones who allow audiences to get to know her a little bit more. In the "Thor" movies she's one of the players, but here, she has many, many scenes with our characters. Seeing the way she interacts with them, and also knowing her perspective, and why she's here, and her moral compass -- that was very fun, to be able to dive into that." Jed added, "We had been excited to have an Asgardian from the films on our plane, because the fish out of water stuff in "Thor" was some of the best stuff, and also because Coulson is a little bit of a fanboy. An actual Asgardian in his midst -- we were excited for that, and it definitely played out just the way we had hoped. She's a pleasure to work with, and that also made it much easier, once she stepped on the set and was totally game for anything, it makes it a pleasure to write for her."

As far as superhero cameos are concerned, the two showrunners were asked if Deathlok is the biggest superhero name the show will ever feature or are bigger characters on the horizon? "If they're excited about Deathlok, then they should be excited about the things to come....We have some other very fun guest stars in the pipeline.," teased Tancharoen. Whedon countered, "We're in a weird spot, because if the character is big and cool enough, then they're probably planning a movie. [Laughs] We have a fairly large list of characters that we have at our disposal, and we plan on exploring all of them."

Has Anyone Really Been Far Even as Decided to Use Even Go Want to do Look More Like?

I don't need super heros on this show I just need easter eggs and name drops, An interesting story some dialog that doesn't feel like it's written by someone in a high school drama class, maybe some half decent actors, Some Humor that's actually funny and Also some actual agents of shield.
Is that so hard to ask?

If Coulson is such a fanboy about having an Asgardian in his midst, why wasn't he so impressed with the Asgardian he met in that episode concerning the staff? The episode tied to TDW. The dialogue of this show is...iffy. Why is Skye such a big emphasis? She's the weakest character. Coulson loves her like a daughter now? Everyone else has warmed to her soooo much. May treated her like shit for a while and Ward barely respected her. Sif doesn't need SHIELD'S help to track down her own enemy. She's the goddess OF war.

They need to step it up. I can't believe this whole season has been about Skye and how they brought Coulson back to life. Each should have been covered in one episode. The Netflix shows are going to be so much better than this

The first half of the season was horrible- damn near unwatchable. Since Christmas there have been big improvements in dialogue and storyline, the characters are being fleshed out more and the team dynamic is being explored. I am glad I stuck with it.

Honestly, last episode of AOS was 100x awesome. They keep that up, I'll be on board for everything. Oh, and they have to kill off the British/Scottish chick, and possibly Skye. But, Skye might become an important figure, so I dunno. But kill off someone.

It's finally here! Only a few more hours until AoS makes it's triumphant return. Really looking forward to see the resolutions with Skye, and seeing John Garrett for a few episodes. Not to mention Sif and Lorelei, two gorgeous Marvel characters.

One complaint we should never hear, is that there's no eye candy...

Skye, oh my god the things I would do to her.
Simmons, got that nerdy sexy thing goin on.
May, the cougar of the group.
Now Lorelei, sexy, very sexy.
Sif, the third best woman in the MCU.

Damn.
