This fall sees Marvel beginning to expand their TV properties with the second season of Agents of SHIELD and the debut season of Agent Carter. Today ABC have released their fall premiere dates, revealing that Marvel's Agent's of SHIELD will return to the network on September 23rd, airing at 9 PM, exactly two weeks before the premiere of The CW's Flash.
The Flash's leaked pilot was met by (mostly) positive reviews from fans and looks like it will be a hard competitor for Marvel's flagship show. What do you think? Are Marvel and ABC making a mistake by pitting Coulson and co up against The Flash? And what show will you choose to watch? Sign off your thoughts below!

"Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." stars Clark Gregg as Agent Phil Coulson, Ming-Na Wen as Agent Melinda May, Brett Dalton as Agent Grant Ward, Chloe Bennet as Skye, Iain De Caestecker as Agent Leo Fitz and Elizabeth Henstridge as Agent Jemma Simmons. Guest starring are J. August Richards as Mike/Deathlok, Cobie Smulders as Agent Maria Hill, Adrian Pasdar as Colonel Glenn Talbot, B.J. Britt as Agent Antoine Triplett and Josh Breeding as parking attendant.

oh shit they're on at the same time ? yeah obviously i'm going with The Flash. Agents of SHIELD is an entire show about the least interesting aspect of the Marvel movies.

Shield is going up against Supernatural, not Flash.

Where the [frick] does it say same-time or not same-time? I'm so confused by these comments right now, gotta go bang my head...

2 Things..

1 - Different time slots, so it's not head to head. That's like saying Tyson will be fighting Holyfield but they will be in separate rings, fighting other people.

2 - CW and ABC can't compete with each other. Not everyone has CW. It'd be like expecting 2 movies that come out the same weekend to truly go "head to head" when one movie comes out in 3500 theatres and the other comes out in 1700

Not a fair comparison or "battle" at all. If Flash were to win in over-all viewers, THAT would be an incredible victory.

even though they are on different timeslots, SHIELD will have more viewers because it is on ABC. Regardless of which show is better.

The more comparable race will be Gotham and SHIELD.

@batz11 - The article says "...airing at 9 PM"

It also says "AGENTS OF SHIELD To Take On THE FLASH"

However, the AOS premier does not compete with The Flash premier, nor does it compete with The Flash when it airs regularly. So that two don't go head to head, AOS doesn't take on The Flash.

The Flash Premieres Tuesday, October 7 at 8/7c on The CW

Thats funny..this is where WB might've docked themselves in the ass from that leaked FLASH pilot....cuz yea...

Already seen Flash pilot...

...cant wait for AOS premiere...

will be fun to watch the battle ensue all season tho...

AOS needs to keep it high octane to keep up with the flash...totally doable tho..

First of all, it's great that SHIELD will get a two week head start.

SECOND of all, SHIELD will go up against Flash in that it'll be a competition to see which one trends the most, which one gets the most attention, and which one gets the better rating since they are on right next to each other.

Hate Agents of Shield. Not going to force myself to watch any more hours of their cheese.

But Im pretty excited for The Flash, Arrow, Constantine, and Gotham. The Flash pilot was very good and blew me away with their effects.

The "trending" thing though.. for sure, that could be used. Same with downloads or iTunes.

There's room for both. I don't watch live TV anymore anyway so I'll watch both the day after online. I was really happy with the way Agents of SHIELD redeemed itself late last season.
