First Look At Bill Paxton As 'John Garrett' On AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D.

Game over man! Yesterday we learned that the Aliens actor would appear in the Marvel series as a cybernetic agent first introduced in Frank Miller's Elektra: Assassin, and you can see him in character as Garrett after the jump.

Paxton is expected to appear in at least 4 episodes later in the year. It'll be interesting to see if they go the cyborg route with Garett - who had most of his body replaced by cybernetic parts by ExTechOp in the pages of Elektra: Assassin. Some theorize that if this is the case, it might somehow tie in to Coulson's resurrection! What do you guys think? Sound off below.

I can honestly say I [frick]ing love it! I haven't missed a single second all season, and that won't change. I look forward to it every week. I even skip a period or two of my Winnipeg Jets games to watch it

And trust me, when a Canadian skips hockey, it must be worth it.

These are your traditional field agents. Throw Garret in that category as well.

Just because FitzSimmions and Skye are more tech support/analyst and scientists
doesn't make them any less Agents than the others , if you keep up with this
type of logic when looking at the Team ofc you'll never buy into their contributions.

This guy will lead us to Deathlok. Whoever is going down the Deathlok path had a hand in developing the parts Garrett's equiped with... but he's still thinking for himself, and that's just not good enough. SHIELD policy was to 'keep them human' by fixing what broke, others took the 'make a human killing machine' route, and Fury violated everything to keep Coulson alive...as an LMD, which is why the bad guys want him.

AoS is being used to expand the scope of the MCU... as it should be.

Of course, I could be wrong about the specifics, but that is why AoS exists... to grow the universe, and give people exposure to more characters.

Umm, I never saw this pic on here before..just the article revealing that Paxton would join the show and that didn't contain the image. It was obviously deleted for good reason.

Anyway, I also hope Whatisname becomes Deathlock..but I'm not holding my breath.

SHIELD has a destination. Unfortunately, it's gonna be a 9 month journey.

If I had the video editing tools and the time it would be fun to condense the entire season into a 3hr movie.

Simply follow the Coulson and Centipede plotlines and dropped all the other BS.

This is kinda a big deal!! Love this guy and glad he's back on tv. And they can tie his cybernetics with coulsons rewired brain story and maybe create more questions to be not answered... Ha but seriously Paxton is gonna kick some ass, not listen to anyone, smoke cigars and punch people in the face jury cuz he can. I'm looking at you fitz...
