In a recent interview with Comicbookresources, Lucy Lawless discussed what brought her to play the character Isabelle Hartley in Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season two, Well, she's a badass girl. You don't want to mess with her. I was very interested in the fact that she's a mercenary. I quite like people who have a lot of duality.”  She then tells other traits Isabelle had that attracted her to the role, “You try to play them as somebody perfectly sensible and likeable, but who does terrible things for a living. I was attracted to that. She's a dangerous gal.”  Lawless also describes what the addition of Hartley means to Coulson and his team, “She's somebody Coulson can trust, because they've been stung badly by Ward. She's somebody they know can get the job done.” Well, we already have a clip that shows Hartley in action, but I’m sure we will see much more tomorrow, when Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. kicks off their season two! She's somebody they know... NOT FROM COMIC BOOOK!
this show soooo sucks... they even can't make a famous guest stars to became interesting comic book characters, they always create as boring and annoying characters as even possible... and them are always not from marvel comic books... meh...

Can't wait for "Gotham", "Arrow" and "Flash".

I used to want more comic characters in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., but after what they did with Graviton, Blizzard, Dethklok and others, not so much...

I like the show and I'm looking forward to the new season, but they've got the worst track record in the MCU for faithful character adaptations behind Iron Man 3.

@SoundWave The stated premise of the show was to start with a core team of completely new characters (plus Coulson, who was invented for the MCU) who just happen to exist in the same world as the Avengers. So, yeah, not from comic books by definition.

However, I'll agree with you that there done a piss-poor job of surrounding that core team with interesting characters from the comics. Hopefully, they'll do better this season. The end of last season certainly was an improvement, so I'm hopeful.

Also looking forward to Arrow (kicks ass) and Flash (looks so good). Gotham will start out with a bang — hope Fox can keep it up. I'm a little concerned that they'll paint themselves in a corner with no Batman, but I'm fascinated by the premise for sure!

Between all of these and the Netflix shows coming, plus Supergirl next season, I'm in comic book tv heaven right now. :)

I think @SoundWave is just making fun of all of the people who think a show has to be just like the comics. Obviously it doesn't. Because he sounds like someone who's making fun of a comic book nerd. That or he's completely retarded.
