Even those who have stuck with Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. seem to agree that the ABC series is only now just beginning to find its footing, with several areas still in desperate need of improvement. For many, sticking around 12+ episodes waiting for that to happen just wasn't an option, hence why rating have continued to decline despite the odd spike here and there. So, what does Clark Gregg think of the fans who have stopped tuning in? "Those aren’t geeks. Those are losers. You start to have people like Deathlok showing up; You start to understand that a bunch of these different episodes were connected. A lot of the geeks that I respect most...are very excited about where we’re going. So I’m going to choose to work for them." So, if you have a negative opinion about Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., keep them to yourself! At this point, it seems unlikely that will help a show which seems destined to last for more than a single season based on current ratings. Regardless, back-pedalling quickly followed. "I guess I don’t mean to say that people who have been frustrated by that discovery period are necessarily losers. I just think they should be, perhaps, a little more patient."
