It looks like production on Echo has now wrapped, with star Alaqua Cox taking to Instagram to share the news with her followers.

The actress posted a screenshot of a text message she sent to her late father, who sadly passed away last year. “We just wrapped up Echo! I did it dad!!” Cox added, “I know you’re so proud of me, dad. I love and miss you so much.”

Cameras had been rolling on the Hawkeye spin-off in Atlanta, Georgia since June. No premiere date has been set, but the show is expected to hit Disney+ at some point next year.

Echo will follow Maya Lopez, "whose ruthless behaviour in New York City catches up with her in her hometown. She must face her past, reconnect with her Native American roots and embrace the meaning of family and community if she ever hopes to move forward."

The show will also star Chaske Spencer (Wild Indian, The English), Tantoo Cardinal (Killers of the Flower Moon, Stumptown), Devery Jacobs (FX’s Reservation Dogs, American Gods) and Cody Lightning (Hey, Viktor!, Four Sheets to the Wind), with Graham Greene (1883, Goliath) and Zahn McClarnon (Dark Winds).

We recently got confirmation that both Charlie Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio will reprise their respective roles as Matt Murdock/Daredevil and Wilson Fisk/The Kingpin.

We still don't know for certain how these bitter enemies will be reintroduced in The MCU, but "sources say Echo will include a plotline in which Daredevil is searching out a former ally." This would appear to confirm a recent rumor that The Man Without Fear will be looking for Jessica Jones, which may well open the door to the likes of Luke Cage, Iron Fist and The Punisher following suit down the road.

It's a little easier to predict what Fisk's role will be. In the Hawkeye season finale, Wilson's "niece" shot him after discovering that the crime-lord was responsible for the death of her father. Reports indicate that the Kingpin will be sporting a patch upon his return after taking the bullet in the eye.

@Variant - No, it's that people here need to learn some perspective. Criticizing a movie or show that has a female or minority lead doesn't mean you hate women or minorities. And the suggestion it's wrong to criticize them is ACTUALLY bigoted, because you're making the suggestion these groups need special treatment.

On top of that, my points have always been these projects are highly agenda driven instead of story driven. It shouldn't be considered a bigoted view that entertainment focus on entertainment rather than lecturing the audience.

Its a very easy fix but no one on the Disney board can stomach it. So Im proud & happy watching it all die a slow death. Id rather have nothing & they cancel it all if they wont fix it

As with inflation / food prices rising / gas prices rising if people gotta cut things out of their lives just so that they have a roof over their head Theme Parks & Disney Cruises will be first that gets cut from spending. This time is likely fast approaching. After this stuff like streaming services will go next. Interesting times are coming again for the entertainment world

But they insist on continuously making the same crap project with the same message of "white straight men are ruining the world for everyone else", and "women are better than everyone". You're seriously telling me I'm the one needing to get perspective when she hulk has Jenn complaining about being cat called and mansplained to someone who had to hide from the military and had three people he cared about die in the line of duty? Come on. Or how about the constant people insisting only men or white people are complaining about this when I point to several women and poc who don't like the direction of phase 4?

Also, it is special treatment if they're specifically hiring both on and off screen based on race and gender. Like, even she hulk pointed this out (though I don't think it was on purpose).

Also, you're still wrong. There are/were plenty of viewers. Just because it was less than some other MCU shows--which was to be expected since the lead character appeals to a different demographic--doesn't mean no one watched it. Its viewership was just fine relative to all other tv.
