THE FALCON & THE WINTER SOLDIER: [SPOILER] Finally Comments On Surprise Cameo; New Poster Released

A certain someone made a surprise appearance during last Friday's episode of The Falcon & The Winter Soldier, and they've finally addressed their MCU debut on social media. We also have a cool new poster.

We assume most of you will have watched the penultimate episode of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier by now, but just in case, we're still treating this as a spoiler for now.

During "Truth," we were introduced to a character who is expected to emerge as a major new player in the MCU moving forward: Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine.

Madame Hydra, as she's known in the comics, was played by multiple-time Emmy Award-winner Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and the Veep star has finally addressed her cameo appearance by taking to Twitter to share a photo of Val's other business card (the one she gave John Walker was blank).

The prevailing theory is that the Contessa will ultimately be revealed as the mysterious Power Broker, and enlist Walker for a team of her own. The character was actually supposed to debut in Black Widow as a "dark" counterpart to Nick Fury, which would seem to suggest that she's planning to assemble a group of super-powered individuals for some nefarious purpose.

What kind of impact do you think Miss Allegra de Fontaine will have on the MCU? Let us know in the comments, and check out the sixth in a series of TFATWS posters below.

She’s adorable. If you haven’t watched VEEP on HBO i suggest you do so. Possibly one of the funniest regular running comedy tv shows of all time. Brilliant stuff and she’s amazing in it. 11 Emmys for her I think. Wow.

One of the best comedians of our generation in my opinion. I haven't started the show yet, but that builds some excitement for me

Maybe it was an accident but the Shang-Chi Twitter account retweeted this but deleted it.

Great show but nothing I've ever seen this lady in is funny other than two episodes of arrested development and she was pretty bad in those as well.

@Waddles - haven't seen veep yet but I always found her very overated(though not entirely talentless). I don't hold seinfeld against her but that was a bad show(it's like it's always sunny except never funny).

@Hulkh8liars - Um, he's referring to her character on Veep.

FFS, are you a troll, 13 years old, or both?

@ptick - I thought he meant she was on the america office. And though this site is often populated by 13 year olds and trolls, I am not either. Didn't know he was referencing veep as I gave up on that very early

Dark Cap- Walker
Dark Widow- her "sister"
Dark Hulk- General Ross or Abomination
Dark Witch- Agatha
All we need is a dark Iron Man, Thor, and Hawkeye

@Makiveli21 - or they aren't doing "dark avengers" (always was a stupid name). Maybe they will just be thunderbolts

Makiveli21 - 4/20/2021, 4:51 PM
@Hulkh8liars - yeah thanks for derailing my point. But since you wanted to go there- no one actually called them "dark avengers" in the comics, it was just the title. So regardless of the name Dark Avengers or Thunderbolts- who else is going to be a part of it was the conversation I was trying to start.

It feels like this site is trying extra hard to keep this a secret more than any other spoiler for some reason. Sure, it was a neat little surprise but but I swear y'all are putting more effort in spoiler tagging Elaine more than you did for Ahsoka's reveal lol.

She’s fantastic in anything else I have seen

Great comedic timing

But! That scene

I just dunno!

I felt she proper over acted it ! It came across so forced and she looked like she was at her first acting role

She did this snide comment about walkers mrs and it was just really stupid

@Iports - Disagreed, she was oozing charisma and a mysterious vibe with every word she said, I thought anyway.
Hulkh8liars

@Iports - she over acts anything. Only thing I ever like that she was in was arrested development and she makes those two episodes hard to rewatch

@Hulkh8liars - yer mate actually she does I just watched her on YouTube haha

I cannot see her looking good in film against other big names if she was to be given a role in a upcoming movie that is ! Lol

@Iports - She has won 8 emmys in her acting career, 2 of those shows being extremely popular and good. I think she will hold up just fine.

@Hulkh8liars - I like her, a lot of great comedians know when to tone it down and I think she's in that category. But good call back on AD, I still crack up at her slowly stalking Tobias with a baseball bat.
