HAWKEYE: Marvel Studios Releases Three Official Images Of Vincent D'Onofrio's Kingpin Of Crime

Three new stills from the season finale of Hawkeye have been released, while Vincent D'Onofrio himself has once again weighed in on what the future could hold in store for his villainous Kingpin of Crime.

That big Kingpin reveal in Hawkeye really did break the internet, and Marvel Studios has now shared a few new stills from the season finale. We're anticipating a character poser dropping on Monday, and it should go without saying if that doesn't depict him in that Hawaain shirt, we riot!

Actor Vincent D'Onofrio has also been doing the rounds to promote his Disney+ debut and Rotten Tomatoes is the latest site to ask if the villain will return after that big cliffhanger ending.

"I think I can only approach it as somebody with the investment to see Kingpin continue. That’s my hope that he will. You know?" the actor teased. "And in my mind, from when I was a kid, Kingpin existed in Punisher, Spider-Man, and Daredevil. And so, that’s where he lives for me."

When the site asked if he thinks that means battles with Manhattan's heroes lie in his future, D'Onofrio responded: "I mean, if it was to go bigger, then that’s fine. But that’s way beyond anything that I think about. I think he’s a multifaceted character, Kingpin. Or Wilson Fisk, I should say. And I think that he can...handled the right way, he can be in any part of the MCU that they want to do."

Fingers crossed for Spider-Man 4, eh? For now, it seems likely that Echo will be where we next see The Kingpin, though many fans are already fantasising about a rematch with Charlie Cox's Daredevil.

Not seeing some sort of face-off between Fisk and "Ronin" left a bad taste in my mouth.

Missed opportunity and it was literally all there up for grabs.

@Doomsday8888 - I'm at least hoping Clint shows up in Echo the same way she showed up in his show. Only fair he take a chunk of her show if she did the same to him XD

@FearTheLiving
Yeah, that woulnd't be bad at all.

It's clear that we'll never see a solo Barton movie, like...ever, lol.
But we'll see Jeremy from time to time in this way? Some cameo here and there? Heh.

@Doomsday8888 - I can see Clint cameo in the Echo show and a Young Avengers project. Think he has left the Avengers behind him though.

I'm not too bothered by it they never actually got to meet. What I did miss was a confrontation between Clint and Eleanor

It would be great to see him returning in the Echo show or even the She-Hulk show, but with Spider-Man 4 already in the works and NWH's ending I think it would be perfect for him to show up in the next Spider-Man movie too

Gotta be honest, having him struggle with Kate Bishop, was a horrible look for the Kingpin.😂🤣 In hindsight, I don't think he should've fought at all. Characters like Wilson Fisk and Lex Luthor, it should be solely about the performance, not their fighting skills.

@99OPTIMISTPRIME - He wasn't struggling though. He pretty much dominated the whole fight, with trick arrows being the only thing keeping her alive longer than a minute.

@99OPTIMISTPRIME - that was struggling to you? Literally only one weapon of Kate's did anything to him, and it required some level of trickery to even pull it off. I mean, the only way I'd consider that a struggle is if you count him not immediately killing her with a punch. But if you expected that to happen to one of the main characters then I don't know what to say to you.

@99OPTIMISTPRIME - Why are people saying this? He didn’t struggle at all with Kate Bishop. He didn’t want to kill her, she was annoying him, he was literally throwing her around like a rag doll. And she just used a smart trick to bring him down.

@JohnCastillo - "He didn’t want to kill her, she was annoying him, he was literally throwing her around like a rag doll"

You don't see the problem with that? A ruthless gangster would rather waste time "throwing a person around" than to simply kill them? LOL!

This is why you can't do Marvel street with Di$ney. You get goofy watered down stuff like this.

Kingpin was more comic accurate tbh, a massively overweight brute with an above average intellect for an organised crime lord. Kingpin aside, the show was excellent and the Clint / Kate dynamic was perfect. Particularly loved the Die Hard NYC at Christmas vibe. Best of the Disney+ Marvel shows, better than most of the Netflix offerings and far superior to any of the DC pap, including Superman & Lois.

I was fine with all of Fisk's scenes (unlike most people), up until they "offed" him at the end.

Regardless of if they have future plans for the character or not, this was a shitty way to bring a beloved character back only to finish him off like that, fakeout or otherwise.

They seriously did not learn anything from the Bohner days of Wandavision. I just don't understand why they'd do something like this again.

TheWalkingCuban - 12/24/2021, 8:23 AM
@Kurne - The fake out didn’t bother me, not afterwards. During though I was like you’ve got to be kidding me. If the other 3 spice girls were there there’d be nothing left of em, let’s see: Kate was Sporty. Maya was Posh. Yelena was Baby, busy on the ice. Cop larper was Scary, busy directing traffic. And Ginger was either the mom or Barton’s wife, doesn’t matter, cuz I’m just spouting nonsense, but man what are these people the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad?

@Kurne - Funny enough it's a reference to the comic. Fisk lives here too.

Vincent D'Onofrio somehow didn't steal the show this time. Favorite part of the show was Yelena on her "Kill Clint" arc. Could watch an entire show out of that.
