Marvel announced today that S.J. Clarkson has helmed the first 2 episodes of Netflix's Jessica Jones, and also served as executive producer on the premiere installment. Clarkson has garnered acclaim for her work on TV shows such as Orange is the New Black, “Bates Motel, and Dexter.

"S.J.'s vision of the material is spectacular. She drew performances from our cast that are nothing short of remarkable,” said Executive Producer/Head of Marvel Television, Jeph Loeb. “When the world gets to know Jessica Jones' name it will be in no small part from S.J.'s sparkling talent. We can't wait to work with her again."

The series stars Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones, David Tennant as Kilgrave, Mike Colter as Luke Cage, Rachael Taylor as Patricia “Trish” Walker, and Carrie-Anne Moss. Jessica Jones will premiere in November 20.

Oh shit weird I/we didn't know that already but it makes me even more excited for this show. I was already about peaked with the teasers but I guess its slightly higher now.

Those promos did nothing but pissed me off. It's a good thing though, because I wanted more, which is what got me pissed vs thinking it sucked. They gave me a chicken wing, when I was hungry enough to eat a whole chicken breast.

Great resume she has there. It would not surprise me at all if this show is better than Daredevil.

everyone has to realize that Jessica Jones is gonna be nothing like DD.

It's not an ensemble show. DD featured a lot more focus on characters like Karen, Foggy, and Ben. Jessica Jones is gonna be a much tighter focus on Jessica. It probably won't take detours to follow Luke Cage and Trish Walker into their own B-Plots.

The tone will be less Taxi Driver and more Chinatown. And it's going to be funnier, darker humor.

Like anyone whose read Alias. The scene where Matt Murdock asks Jessica to go to the Savage Land to help a client find her missing cat. Jessica is just like 'why the [frick] would I go to the Arctic to fight dinosaurs for your [frick]ing cat?'

She isn't this noble warrior. She is that friend who is a hot mess.
