After exploring a variety of different realities where we met more than a few variations of David Haller (Dan Stevens), next week's hour promises to get us on back on track with the season's main storyline as David issues a threat to the Shadow King (Navid Negahban). However, while it looks like David may indeed find Farouk's original body first, it looks like it'll be Amahl may be getting the last laugh after he launches an attack on the unsuspecting Syd (Rachel Keller).

Watch the new promo for "Chapter 15" below:

Chapter 15

206 5/15/2018 10 PM ET/PT

A delusion starts like any other idea ... But ends in disaster. Written by Noah Hawley & Nathaniel Halpern; directed by Charlie McDowell.

Legion, based on the Marvel Comics by Chris Claremont and Bill Sienkiewicz, is the story of David Haller (Dan Stevens) – a troubled young man who may be more than human.

Diagnosed as schizophrenic as a child, David has been in and out of psychiatric hospitals for years. Now in his early 30s and institutionalized once again, David loses himself in the rhythm of the structured regimen of life in the hospital: breakfast, lunch, dinner, therapy, medications, sleep. David spends the rest of his time in companionable silence alongside his chatterbox friend Lenny (Aubrey Plaza), a fellow patient whose life-long drug and alcohol addiction has done nothing to quell her boundless optimism that her luck is about to change. The pleasant numbness of David’s routine is completely upended with the arrival of a beautiful and troubled new patient named Syd (Rachel Keller). Inexplicably drawn to one another, David and Syd share a startling encounter, after which he must confront the shocking possibility that the voices he hears and the visions he sees are the result of him being a mutant.

A haunted man, David escapes from the hospital and seeks shelter with his sister Amy (Katie Aselton). But Amy’s concern for her brother is trumped by her desire to protect the picture perfect suburban life she’s built for herself. Eventually, Syd guides David to Melanie Bird (Jean Smart), a nurturing but demanding therapist with a sharp mind and unconventional methods. She and her team of specialists – Ptonomy (Jeremie Harris), Kerry (Amber Midthunder) and Cary (Bill Irwin) – open David’s eyes to an extraordinary new world of possibilities.

Legion features:
Dan Stevens as David Haller
Rachel Keller as Sydney "Syd" Barrett

Amber Midthunder as Kerry Loudermilk

tonight’s episode was wonderful. in a way, it felt like its own self-contained short film. definitely an episode i’ll be revisiting down the line.

The latest episode was one of those "Exploring the Mind and the possibilities" kind of story telling and I wish they would just get to the damn point!

The writers of Legion do that once in a while where they write an episode that just goes off script and in WAY left field and has nothing to do with the overall storyline.

Legion is a good series but could be so much better.

@Juggernaut - i feel episodes like this is what MAKES the show better than most other comic book tv properties though.

This episode is a perfect example of problems with Legion. It is a well done episode, but makes little to no sense, doesn't fit within the narrative of the season, and does little to actually move the season forward. I prefer not to be confused out of my mind, asking what I just watched- a great show doesn't do that to you.

Legion has the potential to be great, to be on the top tier of comic book series that several other shows currently inhabit. The show needs to stay on track, focus on substance rather than style; build your show around a great, well-written story. Don't build your show around crazy, trippy elements that make you unique and try to craft a story from there. The trippiness, the visuals, the uniqueness should aid your show, not detract from it. I still feel like this season is made for people that do drugs...

lol this is Legion's version of a "filler episode" kinda tells a lot about the series! :P
I don't know why ppl are so upset about a filler, but are completely fine when it happens with the other CBTV shows like Arrow-verse, AoS, the Netflix ones etc...
What's up with that?

Heh, whatever, this is not even that much of a filler episode tbh, shit is full of lil details, i'm not gonna pretend to get everything, but it's obvious that we're dealing with a whole bunch of things here.
Not just different point in the timeline, different realities, but also David's mind!
This shit is just too kino.
