The latest season of Noah Hawley’s mind-expanding series, Legion, is undergoing its own expansion as it goes from what was initially a 10-episode season to an 11-episode one. There’s currently no word on why FX and Hawley are adding an additional episode to Season 2, but we can only hope it was to improve the current season.

As a result of the addition of an eleventh episode, the finale for Season 2 has received a brand-new air date. Now, the acclaimed series will air its season finale on Tuesday, June 12 at 10 PM on FX. Also, like the first season, Noah Hawley will be writing the Season 2 finale, meanwhile Keith Gordon will direct the episode.

@blitzburgh - last week's episode was complete trash. Completely filler and pointless. This season, the show has tried to come off as really intellectual and smart. It's instead come off as convoluted and a bit of a mess. Style over substance...

@HeavyMetal4Life - I semi agree. The monk episode was great, but an entire episode of syd telling David something pointless. Even David himself looked [frick]ing annoyed in the end. Also what happens to the devil with yellow eyes? I love this show, but I agree, I hope it picks up just a little.

Legion is aa great show. Somehow they've managed to go full comicbook weird and that's without giving anyone costumes.

Looks like the ratings have gone down the toilet - I'm guessing the extra episode is going to be to wrap the series up.

It's a shame of course, but it's not shocking, if you know the show, you also know that a drop in ratings is something that comes with the territory.
Matter of fact, it's been going down since Ep 1 of S1.
It's not like it's easy to follow as it is, but if you miss an episode...Heh, you might as well just wait for the whole season to wrap it up since they have only 8 episodes.

It's a very... unique show. :3

I LOVE the show when it's not confusing the shit out of me. It's pretty brilliant in that it can engage your mind whether you want it to or not because half the time you're trying to figure out if anything is real or in David's head.
