Loki is the next MCU-set Disney+ series heading our way after The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, and while we still have a couple of months to go until it premieres on the streaming service, promotion should soon begin to kick up a notch or two following the release of a new trailer earlier this week.

Empire Magazine has now debuted its latest newsstand and subscribers only covers, and they both feature star Tom Hiddelston embracing his inner God of Mischief - although the Avengers: Endgame actor isn't actually in-character as the Asgardian villain.

The issue should include some new stills to accompany the exclusive interview with Hiddleston, so be sure to keep an eye out for updates.

Check out the covers below along with the recently released trailer.

Loki will see the God of Mischief step "out of his brother’s shadow in a new series that takes place after the events of Avengers: Endgame. Tom Hiddleston returns as the title character, joined by Owen Wilson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sophia Di Martino, Wunmi Mosaku and Richard E. Grant. Kate Herron directs Loki, and Michael Waldron is head writer."

Marvel's highly-anticipated Disney+ series is set to premiere on the streaming service on June 11.

That silhouette doesn't look like Loki's usual silhouette. Maybe it's from an alternate version.

@Repian - It looks like a "crooked" version with furs on the back.

Richard E. Grant, is that you?

@Repian - I think they just added horns to his real shadow. And the horns don't look more crooked than they were in Thor 1 and Avengers

@Repian - Kinda looks like Krampus.

That said, Richard E Grant is DEFINITELY playing old, evil Loki. And I would love to see them take a truly terrifying mythical design for that.

After WandaVision and now Falcon, I’m starting to realize how I need to approach these shows: they aren’t bombastic MCU movies and they never will be. I keep expecting too much during the initial watch and only on the 2nd viewing do I truly appreciate what Marvel are giving us with these shows. Loki’s trailer makes it out to be a bombastic MCU movie, but from now on I’m gonna expect 80% of the show to be characters in rooms talking, and 20% MCU action because I think that’s literally all the budget they have for these shows.

Third time's the charm? Not trying to be a downer but the MCU shows have been kinda meh. WandaVision started off strong then fell flat, FATWS has been fine (though I haven't seen the latest episode). Loki seems like a fun romp. We'll see. I'm a slave for all of it at this point. Lol
