We knew the season finale would delve into Lorna's (Emma Dumont) mysterious past, but it looks like it'll be going deeper than we could've imagined as she begins to draw inspiration from her legendary father, the one-and-only Magneto.

While the preview doesn't specifically namedrop him, it's hard to imagine that the two-hour finale won't at least give us some idea about his whereabouts. Plus, it sounds like we'll also learn a lot more about what happened to the X-Men and why they chose the Underground to lead the mutant revolution.

Watch the new promo for the two-part season finale below:

Another great episode. Hate to see this series fold if Disney can't/won't find a way to incorporate it.

@Thanson -

It's just so...basic. Like almost every episode is exactly the same.

I wish it was a little more original and compelling but it's so by-the-numbers chase series that it offers nothing unique. It's unfair to compare it to Legion but when you do it's obvious the show doesn't stack up.

If you take away the "powers" it's just about a bunch of uninspired people on the run from a generic threat.

@Thanson - I think it will be kept if it has good ratings.

That's not to say it or Legion will be retconned into the MCU.

Remember, Disney wants content for their streaming service. That a big reason the purchased Fox. It wouldn't make sense to dismantle popular series, and ultinatleh reduce the number of shows they could potentially have.

@Humperdink - Its only the first season (and a very short one at that). They just introduced the Hellfire Club and delving more into Polaris' history as Magneto's daughter. Things are about to get interesting.

All I care about is Deadpool and Legion

Watched the first two. Couldn't really get into it, but Lorna was my favorite character.

They said her father was a King in the Hellfire Club though. That doesn't fit with Magento. The Hellfire Club is full of aristocrats that come from wealth. They'll probably change who her father is to someone like Sebastian Shaw. I;d rather have Magneto to have been the leader of the Brotherhood, who they have also mentioned in the show.

I thought tonight's episode was great. The Stepford Cuckoos were a lot of fun and I really enjoyed the Purifiers cameo and getting to see a bit of the inner workings of the Hellfire Club. They really set the finale up to be a doozy. And definitely excited to see how deep they delve into Magneto as Lorna's father mythos.

So we're definitely getting Emma Frost at some point right?

Great show. I like the depth of X-men lore they are going into.
