THE GIFTED: Reeva's Master Plan Is Revealed In The New Promo For Season 2 Winter Premiere
After a jaw-dropping midseason finale, The Gifted is off for the rest of the month, but when it returns on January 1st, get ready for a battle of epic proportions as Reeva sets her master plan in motion.
Last night's midseason finale left our heroes at their most vulnerable as they lost their leader when Thunderbird (Blair Redford) sacrified himself and got captured by Jace (Coby Bell) and the Purifiers, so that both Eclipse (Sean Teale) and Fade (Jeff Daniel Phillips) could safely escape.
Meanwhile, back at the Inner Circle, Andy (Percy Hynes White) took action and freed Rebecca (Anjelica Bette Fellini), but his decision ultimately proved to be shortsighted as instead of running away with him, she chose to take revenge on Reeva (Grace Byers) and the Stepford Cuckoos (Skyler Samuels) for imprisoning her yet again. Andy was forced to make a decision between love and his surrogate family and he chose the latter, which proved to be fatal for Rebecca as the blast he sent her way inadvertently broke her neck.
Elsewhere, Reed (Stephen Moyer), Caitlin (Amy Acker), and Lauren (Natalie Alyn Lind) managed to escape Dr. Risman (Kate Burton) and her twisted research facility, but their journey to help Reed is far from over.
While the winter premiere won't resolve all of these threads, the new preview does seemingly reveal that Polaris (Emma Dumont) may be on the verge of rejoining the Mutant Underground, which can only be good news now that the team is down a member. Plus, it looks like Lauren may also be taking a darker turn when the series returns on January 1st in its new 9PM time slot.
