The Mutant Underground took a pretty major hit tonight and lost one of their own when they fell victim to an ambush attack from Jace (Coby Bell) and the Purifiers. Eclipse (Sean Teale), Thunderbird (Blair Redford), Blink (Jamie Chung), and a few others did manage to narrowly escape, thanks to a timely decision from Reed (Stephen Moyer), but it looks like that decision is going to come back to bite him as the episode's closing moments revealed that he's lost all control of his abilities.
The timing also couldn't be any better as next week's episode will finally see the Inner Circle carry out Reeva's (Grace Byers) plan, which will involve them breaking into a high-security building. Plus, we may also learn the identity of Reeva's mysterious benefactor.

Reeva reveals her plans for a major mission for the Inner Circle to secure some needed funds. Meanwhile, the Mutant Underground must contend with Reed's unstable powers, hoping that some medical help from Caitlin and Lauren will keep his destruction in check. Also, Jace is introduced to Benedict Ryan (guest star Peter Gallagher), a well-connected public figure who supports the efforts of the Purifers, but the two may not see eye-to-eye. Then, Thunderbird finally confronts Blink about her dealings with Urg, after weeks of tension over their meeting in the all-new "no Mercy" episode of THE GIFTED airing Tuesday, Nov. 13 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.

Action-adventure family drama THE GIFTED, from Marvel, tells the story of a suburban couple whose ordinary lives are rocked by the sudden discovery that their children possess mutant powers.
