The Gifted kickstarted its second season with a big bang as both the Mutant Underground and Inner Circle established themselves six months after the shocking events of last year's finale.
The biggest development was, of course, Polaris (Emma Dumont) giving birth to her and Eclipse's (Sean Teale) daughter, Dawn, which is an appropriate name since the subtitle for the entire season is "Dawn of the Mutant Age."
Meanwhile, back at the Mutant Underground, Marcos and Caitlin (Amy Acker) continued their work to protect mutants in need from the wrath of Sentinel Services. Elsewhere, Reed (Stephen Moyer) found himself in an unexpected situation with his long-dormant mutant abilities finally manifesting.
ANDY AND LAUREN HAVE A SHARED DREAM ON AN ALL-NEW "THE GIFTED" TUESDAY, OCTOBER 2, ON FOX
Thunderbird contacts a mutant lawyer who recruited him to the Underground years ago, hoping she can help him find the Inner Circle. Lauren and Andy have a shared dream, which distracts Andy from his training and prompts Reeva to consider cutting her losses with him, which, in turn, makes Andy second-guess his separation from his sister. Meanwhile, Reed must keep a huge secret from the group and Jace picks up the mutants' trail again in the all-new "unMoored" episode of THE GIFTED airing Tuesday, Oct. 2 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.

Action-adventure family drama THE GIFTED, from Marvel, tells the story of a suburban couple whose ordinary lives are rocked by the sudden discovery that their children possess mutant powers. Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, the family joins up with an underground network of mutants and must fight to survive.
