WANDAVISION Deleted Scene FINALLY Reveals The Identity Of Jimmy Woo's Missing Witness

The first deleted scene from WandaVision has been released, and it finally solves one of the MCU TV show’s biggest mysteries by identifying FBI Agent Jimmy Woo missing witness in Westview. Check it out!

WandaVision was a series which generated heaps of theories among fans, from supposed hints about Mephisto to the identity of Monica Rambeau’s aerospace engineer friend (alas, it was neither Reed Richards nor Blue Marvel).

However, one of the biggest unanswered questions is who FBI Agent Jimmy Woo was looking for when he arrived at Westview and found Wanda Maximoff’s Hex waiting for him. In the show, we learned the Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania supporting character was searching for a witness who vanished from the Witness Protection Program.

Jimmy initially believed his missing perp had "flown the coop," but was left perplexed when their known associates and family members claimed to have never heard of them (likely as a result of the Hex which hid the town from outside view).

WandaVision will be released as a Collector’s Edition on 4K Ultra HD Steelbook and Blu-ray Steelbook on November 28, and a newly released deleted scene titled "Ankle Bracelet" finally reveals the identity of the missing witness. Yes, as many of you theorised, it was indeed Evan Peters’ Ralph Bohner!

In the clip, we see him remove his ankle bracelet and go on the run, presumably escaping from Westview shortly after being compelled by Agatha Harkness to pose as Wanda’s brother, Pietro Maximoff/Quicksilver. Granted powers by the witch, that proved to be the role of a lifetime for the wannabe actor.

Rumour has it Bohner will appear in Wonder Man and if so, he may well have a connection to Trevor Slattery or one of the show’s Hollywood-based protagonists. We also can’t help but wonder whether he scoffed at the name "Ralph Bohner" because it was the one given to him to protect his real identity; whether that’s someone from the comics obviously remains to be seen.

Many fans had hoped Peters was playing a Variant of Quicksilver plucked from the Multiverse but that sadly proved not to be the case. However, WandaVision and Fantastic Four director Matt Shakman previously hinted that the mystery surrounding Ralph would eventually be revealed.

"In terms of nobody knowing that Westview exists, Westview does exist and that's why Jimmy's there. But the people in the environment have forgotten it because Wanda has made it so," Shakman explained. "She's created a kind of black hole there so she can be uninterrupted and people won't find their way in too much. In terms of the missing person, there's an answer for that and, you know, hang in there."

Mr. Fantastic looks good clean shaven there, shame they couldn't bring him back.

Ah Ralph Bohner. The first of many disappointments in the Multiverse Saga.

@mountainman - That was a pretty sad and unsatisfying reveal. Especially in light of all the hype.

Still liked the show, but the theories around it was half the fun.

@mountainman - I felt he was changed mid-script. I think he had a larger role than what we were given.

Apophis71 - 11/20/2023, 3:24 PM
@WruceBayne - Same, they had to rewrite a lot fast due to COVID measures and an uncertain future due to the pandemic for the final at minimum. So maybe was meant to be someone more significant like setting up him as being Wonderman or other character from the comics instead of a vague dumb sounding sitcom reference many wouldn't, and didn't get.

@mountainman - yes. It was nuts when he appeared in the series.

@mountainman - Truth! That cliffhanger ending at the end of the episode when he's introduced was HYPE though...but yeah...followed by the first of many let downs.

@mountainman - then all the fanboys kept going "you raised your expectations too high". Well, who's fault is that, when you specifically throw in the actor from a different iteration of the character while talking about nexus points?

@JustAWaffle @WruceBayne @Fogs @UniqNo @Origame

Sure maybe certain fan expectations may have overhyped it. Fox Quicksilver and Mephisto rumors were a bit crazy.

But hypothetically, either of those things could have been used. Even if they didn’t want to integrate Fox X-Men yet and Peters was cast just as a nod to the fans, why give him one of the stupidest names you possibly could have? It’s like a middle finger to the audience. If he had just been a random citizen that didn’t have a joke for a last name, it would have been a bit less insulting.
Fogs
Fogs - 11/20/2023, 4:15 PM
@mountainman - totally agreed. It was a middle finger 100%. Cause we were expecting Wanda was inadvertently messing with the multiverse by creating her own reality. The multiverse was teased and we were embarking.

Since they shown variants like Patrick Stewart and so on... that stupid joke was totally on purpose, to have the fans feeling foolish. I seriously can't get what was their idea, what they were expecting as reaction to that.

Apophis71
Apophis71 - 11/20/2023, 3:32 PM
@thewanderer - Don't think that is officialy confirmed, could be rumors are true but not worth worrying too much till official one way or another. All the delays in releases in a connected universe it may just be on hold for now and considering not finishing it but not made the final call. Likely bigger issues to address first now all the strikes are over before thinking about what or if it needs tweeking/dropping.
Knightrider

Such a terrible twist. I feel like it wasn’t always planned, that he was going to be Quicksilver from an alternate timeline.
This would make sense for MoM as this setups the idea that Wanda’s kids were pulled from another universe and that’s why she is searching for them in other universes.
HulkisHoly
HulkisHoly - 11/20/2023, 5:19 PM
@Knightrider -

Yep. That twist single-handedly made me hate the show. What a complete kick in the nuts. Tease the audience by literally getting the actor of quicksilver to just say…”GOTCHA!!” And pull the rug.

Deleting scenes like this just makes zero sense.

It means the story is incomplete and that this shouldn’t have been a limited series if they’re unable to answer all the questions introduced
Apophis71
Apophis71 - 11/20/2023, 3:41 PM
@JFerguson - They had to rewrite and ditch a lot last minute for the final episode(s) due to COVID measures, so there are times I would agree but maybe more understandable than most instances in this case.

Just like with the Mandarin being a random actor as a front to the real operation in IM3, I really still like this twist that it was just a random guy (with a funny last name) too.

It serves as a really good slap in the face to the out of control speculation and theorising, like who this witness was. A reality check was needed, and since then I learned the obvious explanation is often the right one.
