The streaming channel Netflix is developing with Paramount a new adaption of A Series of Unfortunate Events, a series of 13 books written by Daniel Hadler with the pen name Lemony Snicket.
The streaming service has acquired the rights of the series, wich was adapted in a movie that told the story of the first three books in 2004. The production is already looking for a director to direct the adaptation.
"A Series of Unfortunate Events" follows the lives of Violet, Klaus, and Sunny Baudelaire after their parents' death in a house fire. They are placed in the custody of their distant uncle Count Olaf, who wants to steal their inheritante - and he'll do anything for it.
